Delightful Daisies

 Hello Everyone!

How are you ?  I do hope you are well and if in the UK I do hope you have not grown webbed feet! Whatever happened to summer this year?

Seemingly time has gone the same way this year (run away) , in fact it seems to just go faster and faster every year.....or is it that I have so much to catch up on?

The card above is not done on my new foiling machine I am disappointed to admit, but is from some prefoiled ones from Stamps by Me. Several designs so plenty to go at. Foiling seems to have dropped out of fashion and I have yet to have a good play with my machine...life got in the way of course.

I coloured this one with watercolour pens (Phill Martin)....... tried a bit of blending but definitely need practice at that!  An old craftwork cards sentiment from stash and mounted up and job done!

The card that this is foiled on to is a thick watercolour card so takes water well. It is creamy in colour so I may get some of my mountain of cream card used up!...no don't be silly , it won't match of course...lol

Right time to catch up on some chores, life is full of appointments this month and the cleaning and gardening fairies sem to be having a very long holiday ..lol

Take care and thank you so much for stopping by, your lovely comments always make my day, I love to read them.

Till next time

Love and crafty hugs

Carole xx

P.S. Actually made it to Doncaster on Sunday to the Creative Craft show. I didn't need anything of course, I mean I can't move in my craft room....but it would have been pointless to go all that way and not buy something wouldn't it?................so I succumbed. Nice to be able to see and touch again which the internet deprives us of.

  1. It's lovely Carol, always think Daisies make such a fresh looking card.

Hope you get to play with your foiling machine, seem some lovely cards made with them. I bought the Glimmer one earlier in the year but found fixing/removing the plates and my dodgy dexterity were not a good match, so sadly sold it rather than let it gather dust.

  3. Stunning card Carole, so fresh looking.
I think the summer arrived here today, it was SO hot and sunny! I'm sure the rain will be back by the weekend though. Glad you got to visit a craft fair and it would have been rude to come come empty handed. I miss all the craft fairs, I haven't been to one for several years now. The few that are around in my neck of the woods are more into sewing and knitting, rather than papercrafting. There's nothing like being able to stroke crafty cardmaking materials. xx

  4. Foiling hasn't gone out of fashion with me. I love it and the card is gorgeous. I love the simplicity and your gorgeous colours. Glad you got to go to an actual live show. Unfortunately they never happen where I live and my trips to see my daughter in Birmingham, never seem to coincide with the shows anymore. I am going to go to the Festival of Quilts again this year though. I haven't had my sewing machine out for years! I agree time goes so fast. I am never caught up with everything xx

  5. I barely got started with foiling, so I hope it hasn't gone out of fashion. I need to do it again. Your card is gorgeous with the foiling and lovely flowers! How fun to go to a craft fair! I so wanted to go to one in April, but other things got in the way, maybe next time. Take care and have a great week!

  8. Sorry to be so very tardy, Carole! It seems to have been one thing after another this summer to keep me from the computer ~ which is prolly good, except I do miss my friends in there! I just had a friend here for a week and in a couple weeks we take off for holiday and then it will be a mad dash to make Christmas cards which I am so behind ... oh, well, it all comes out in the wash, doesn't it?

Enough about me, I do love your beautifully composed daisy design! And you got yourself a foiling machine? You'll have to let me know how it goes ... I keep avoiding yet another machine and all that goes with it, but I love what I see everyone doing with them!

I'm glad to see you blogging and out to the craft fair! They only have one of those around here any more and I will be away. :( Take care and stay well! Love, Darnell
