Mothers Day 'Flowers in a box'

Good Evening friends.......so how was your Mother's Day if you were celebrating? I hope you had a lovely time and were spoilt.
I had a lovely day, and as you know if you read my previous post I was taken out to lunch by my eldest son, and partner and my hubby came too of course....and we were going to the 'wait and see' place. Well it was absolutely fabulous, the food was beautiful, the venue and service great and the company made it perfect....and so to put you all out of your misery we went to 'The General Tarleton' at Ferrensby, Knaresborough and I can highly recommend it for that special meal.
My Mothers day continued into today as I received a card and lovely chocolates in the post from my other son (and daughter -in -law) in London ...Royal Mail never seem able to deliver on time these days...they were posted Thursday! 1st class!...very much appreciated even so...we crafters need chocolate don't we!...so a very big hug and thank you to both my boys for making me feel very special.

OK enough rambling and on to my card that I made for my mum.
Here it is

When I went to the GNPE at Harrogate  the other weekend I bought these blank 'box' cards from Craftwork Cards.
I already had the Botanica papers also from Craftwork Cards and knew mum would appreciate the butterflies and the birds...not to mention the flowers...they are simply beautiful.
They are very easy to do and I really enjoyed doing it, the only bit that was a bit fiddly (for me anyway) was getting the flowers attached in the right place so that it all folds flat to go in an envelope. I don't think I would recommend letting Royal Mail get its hands on it though! I guess now I have done one the rest will be easier ...there are 10 in the pack...5 small and 5 large...this is a large one.
Some of the flowers were from the Botanica set and some were from my stash of Craftwork Cards stuff.
Mum was chuffed to bits with it, obviously never having seen anything like it before, and it being a bit different for me.

Right well that's just about it tonight, but I did forget in my previous posts to mention what a great day I had at Harrogate. I met up with old friends that I hadn't seen in over a year and new blogging friends too. Lots of hugging and kissing, chatting and tea!! and combined with a bit of crafty shopping ......perfect!!

Hope you all have a good week, take care, and thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to read my ramblings. If you have left me a comment you will have made me extra 'happy'...thank you.

Tulip from ?

Good evening friends.
It's been a little while since my last post due to various things getting in the way of crafting. I am now trying to catch up on cards that I have to make for certain people and occasions.

Right back to the Tulip from?....Indigo Blu!! not Amsterdam.
I treated myself (well we have to don't we) to the new 'Lace' set from Indigo Blu and this fabulous tulip is one of the stamps. The detail on this is just incredible, in fact it is on all the stamps, they are wonderful and I now have a growing collection ,some I am ashamed to say still un-inked!

I inked the stamp with Distress inks...worn lipstick and peeled paint and the Happy Birthday is from a Uniko Studio set.
A bit of pricking round the edge and matted with foam pads on some Bazzill bling card.
I wanted the image to do the talking so no glitter on this one.
I am pleased with how it turned out, might have to try some different colourways.

Right must away back to the craft room. I have two mens cards to make ....aaarrgh I hate mens cards, and also one for my Mum for Sunday.

Hope all you enjoy your Mothers Day and are spoilt to death. My eldest son is taking me out for dinner...lovely...don't know where we are going...  'wait and see' was the reply when I asked! Anyone heard of a restaurant of that name ??

Till next time, thanks for stopping by and take care, and if you leave me a comment you will make my day!

Quick card!

Good evening cyber friends. I hope you are all well and looking forward to your weekend.
I am off to the GNPE at Harrogate tomorrow so looking forward to that, although if it is too busy I soon lose the will to live if you know what I mean..... can't get near to see anything and lots of pushing and shoving! So if you are going give me a shove and say hi!!
There is nothing I need really but I am sure there will be when I get there!

Right a quick card today, probably the quickest card that I have ever made!
(Sorry the photo is not brilliant due to the artificial light )

In my sort out of the craft room I came across some pre-printed cards...the background is printed...so ding! light bulb moment (not often I get those) a strip of white card stamped with Happy Birthday from one of the Uniko Studios sets (sorry can't remember which one) and then I stamped my all time favourite Uniko stamp...Beautiful Blooms........I simply love this stamp.... I stamped it in pearlescent lilac, cut it out, and then added a bit of bling with some stardust glitter and mounted it on 3D foam. Job done! I think I shall be making a few more of these for stock purposes and especially now as Uniko have brought out the die to cut out the flower...PERFECT...already got mine but not had chance to road test it yet!

Right off for a cuppa before bed...early start tomorrow!
Enjoy your weekend whatever you do.

Just for you!

Hi Friends.
Well the sun is shining here and the little daffodils are blooming in the garden, Spring is here! though it is a bit chilly in  that wind today. Lets hope it's a good weekend wherever you are and whatever you plan to do.
My card is Spring like today and 'Just for You'.......that's anyone reading this  ..Thank You.

I've been having a play with some Uniko Studio stamps that I was lucky enough to win recently, this is one of the sets...A Gift for You... click on the image to go to the shop.

As soon as I saw that parcel it was a fancy plant pot in my head and so it evolved from there. The flower is created from the bow. I stamped the solid bow twice reversing it for the bottom, and then I over stamped with the outline bow. Any white bits were coloured with Copics. The stem and leaves are from another set........Flower Power 3 . The message is also from the first set. A bit of stitching and I then mounted it on 3D foam on the green card.
So what do you think?

I am entering this in the following challenges:-
Less is more........Yellow and green
Papertake Weekly......Anything goes with option of home made flowers.

Thank you for stopping by....enjoy your weekend!
