The postman has just appeared in the street...early today.......different postie today.....aahhh he's gone straight past!...well that just about sums it up for me eh!..no secret admirers... could possibly omit the secret bit here...good job hubby gave me a card!...lol
So here is the card that I made for him..........
Apologies for the poor photo...bad lighting and it doesn't really do the card justice. the red background is my play on glossy card with alcohol inks in red and gold (the gold barely shows I know) and I cut the love out of the snippet that was left, cut a couple of times and layered up.
The heart die is a new purchase with Christmas money and is by Concord 9...love this die and I have Carol M to blame for setting me off on this one with her lovely card using the same die.....
Just so love the colours she has used.
I think my love word die is Crafters Companion but not 100% sure on that one. I raised the top panel after pricking the edges and added the pearl heart. Hubby seems happy with it!
I am entering a few challenges this week :-
Uniko....................................Anything goes--twist of love
Time out##76........................Inspired by words
Allsorts Challenge 402.........Hearts and /or flowers
That's crafty.......................... I heart you

Boy that was hard...really got myself tied in knots doing that, perhaps why I don't bother a lot of the time! If anyone knows an easy way to do all this linking stuff then please let me know...oh...and if anyone can tell me how to get my name on to my photos I would be grateful for that help too.....I know I don't ask for much do I!!!
OK...best go and get something achieved today now. Thank you all for stopping by and if you leave me a comment an extra Thank you...I so love to read them as you know.
Enjoy your day, evening and the rest of your week and take care.
Crafty hugs and love too (well it's Valentines day remember)...mmmmm wonder if I could get away with opening the Prosecco now?
Carole xx
Gorgeous card and the die is awesome. We decided not to bother with Valentines anymore. I could email you about getting your name on your beautiful cards. I can tell you how I do it. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous heart die, so versatile and a really lovely CAS card.
ReplyDeleteThe postman passed me by too.

Wow! That die is beautiful and your card is stunning ... Well both of them are! I love the clean lines and the no frill look to them ... So glad you enjoyed Valentines... Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI remember adding that heart die to my wish list when I saw Carol's card, too, and now that I've seen your beautiful rendition for your beloved, I am afraid I'm smitten into purchasing it! Sigh, more NBUS, lol! I clicked to enlarge your photo and could see the gorgeous red and gold inks on your glossy paper - love it, Carole!!
ReplyDeleteWell done with the linking. It is a bit of a faff doing the linking, but really for me, the secret is to do it more often rather than less often. Once you do it more and more, pretty soon you'll be flicking back and forth between all the buttons in no time. Honest!
As for the watermark, there are lots of photo editing software that have "how to" information on the web. Also, I have a friend who knows how to do them, too, and I'll mention to her that you need help with this.
Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Hugs, Darnell
Loving that heart die and how you've used it on your cards. The red is just stunning and the mixed colours are gorgeous. Thanks for linking up at Uniko.
ReplyDeleteHi Carole this is a stunning card and I hope you had a fab Valentines Day like you we had a nice meal at home and a bottle of bubbly left over from Christmas. Simple pleasures. Regarding your watermark I use a photo shop type programme called GIMP to put mine on. Its free to install and you can then add either a pre bought watermark or just type on top of your image which is what i normally do,Hope you get something sorted Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteHiya, it was a Markies meal for us too! Yummy!! This is fab, love that die too but I've spent this months pocket money. Your comment on my blog did make me laugh, Liz x
ReplyDeleteFabulous die cut! Love the blending on your second card too. A pair of great CAS cards x
ReplyDeleteWow Carole, this is stunning. I LOVE that die (I'll have to go on a shopping spree) and the background is such a gorgeous rich colour. Hope things are good with you xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card for your beloved. Looks like you've become an enabler too!!! Xxx
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection and I too LOVE that die, it is so on my wish list! Thanks for joining in on the Uniko Challenge and my apologies for commenting so late. Hugs Bev x
