Hello everyone!
Is it raining where you are? Its like the middle of winter here in wet (West) Yorkshire!!
I can't believe we are in May...soggy blossoms (not bottoms).....not fit to turn a dog out as they say.
Speaking of dogs, today's card features a dog silhouette from...yes you guessed it Crafters Companion. It is the card I have made for my eldest sons birthday today. He has a black labrador.
The sentiment was with the die set but the paw prints I found in my stash and stamped them on little circles of card. A white Posca pen was the finishing touch.
No feed back as yet so I am hoping he liked it..
For those of you who have read my last blog post you might be interested to know that Chloes card arrived just before her birthday...3 weeks it has taken this year instead of 3 months last year so an improvement on the postal front.
Tomorrow is my 2nd Covid jab, another thing to cross off the list thank goodness.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. How did we get to May? How far have we come since last May?...and I wonder where we will all be next May? Interesting thought.
Take care and I will catch you again soon.

A fabulous card Carole. Love the heart that looks like a beautiful stained glass window. Love your design and looks like your mojo has come back. Hope all goes well with your jab. We were hoping to get up for a holiday based in Thirsk in May. Think we will have to wait until 2022!! Big hugs, Carol S.xxxx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a perfect card for your son with his pet Labrador. The colours from the holographic card looks amazing and will give a different colour every time its viewed from another angle. I like your finishing touches with the gel pen x
ReplyDeleteYes rain here as well Carole along with such a bitterly cold wind, into May and the heating is back on, but I'm our in the cold and rain quite frequently with our new little miss.
ReplyDeleteA really gorgeous card for your son and sounds perfect, two of our also have black Labs as does eldest daughter, you could be forgiven for thinking we were a rather doggie family.
Hope the second jab goes OK, heard varying stories from so many about adverse reactions, maybe hubby and I were just lucky as a sore arm and headache after the second (Pfizer) was it.

it quite a lot
Hi Carole
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful .. .. .. I love the background behind your scrummy heart .. .. it really lights your card up. All just perfect for your labarador owning son. I hope he had a lovely birthday.
Pleased your Grand-daughter received her card OK too.
Hope you are having a good week and happy that you are having your second vaccine, mine is Friday. A step nearer to hopefully some sense of safe normality soon.

Brilliant card Carole and who couldn't love a Labrador!
ReplyDelete(Hope you got my last mail - might have a bit of news in a day or so - will keep you posted) xx
Coming from your neck of the woods, I know exactly what you mean about the weather. The sun is shining here today but it's still really cold, roll on summer! I love your card and I bet your son will too. I hope that your vaccine went well today, my second one is due at the beginning of June, so fingers crossed that we can all soon get back to some sort of normality x
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect masculine card, Carole and I love the holographic card you used! It really catches the light and adds another dimension. Of course any card with a dog on it has my heart but I love how you presented it in a heart and the white pen stitching is a perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.

Oh I'm sure he will love it... It's fabulous! Love the way you put it together with the pieced heart and I'm glad to hear Chloe's card did arrive. Rain? Oh my it hasn't stopped here and it's been cold. We can't enjoy a holiday at least you think we could have a few summery days! I just had my 2nd jab and it was fine although I feel so tired all the time, but that could be 'cos I need a holiday!! Have a good day Carole
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Carole ...love the Die ...
