Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER  everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and lots of chocolate!

Here as promised my last two Easter cards...both quick and easy again....

This is Warren (above), he is from Craftwork Cards.....a blank topper to colour that I found in my stash and I coloured with the usual copics and a touch of sparkle on the egg (though you cannot see it in the picture). he is on a plain 4 1/2 inch square card that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (ages old).......the sentiment is stamped and the rest is obvious.

The second card is another LOTV image...this time a stamp that was coloured with copics again and a touch of glitter on his tail and the eggs.

So there we have them and now I am off to make egg thrones in the playground after school club (see Sarns blog link for a u-tube video).

Before I go I would like to welcome my new follower Anne, well renowned for her brilliant cards sporting fabulous LOTV images...pop over to her blog and say hello, I am sure you will love what you see.

A quiet weekend here.....just the eldest son and partner on Sunday for dinner.....the Londoners can't make it as they have  Australian visitors still... so no baby cuddles for me!     :(

If you are travelling , be safe, keep well, and thank you for stopping by, I know time is precious...oooh talking of time ....don't forget to alter your clock this weekend if you are in the UK.

Easter flowers

Hi de Hi campers  crafters! Are you all egg..cited about Easter (I can hear you all groaning)...sorry...couldn't resist...back in my hole.(bet you are smiling though).

Start again.....hi everyone, hope you are all fit and well and looking forward to the long weekend for Easter...don't forget to alter the clocks though this weekend!!
I love the longer days, the lighter nights, and the sunshine (when it shows), it makes us all much happier people I think, and we need that in this silly sad world in which we all rub shoulders don't we.

As promised another of the quick Easter cards....

Another LOTV image (now discontinued) with a touch of glamour dust and a stamp in the corner. I can almost smell that hyacinth...I just love their smell! and the blue ones always seem to have the strongest perfume.
A very quick and easy card, but the wishes are no less.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time with me, I love it when you leave me a calling card (comment of course) and I can return the favour.
Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with the last two cards...I know....... three times in a week...what must I be thinking.....that I am like the local buses...all at once or nothing at all!.......no.. I don't need the comments that I look like the back of a bus thank you...you are my friends remember!   :)

If you are travelling ...be safe.
Hugs till tomorrow.........

Red Letter Day!

Hi Everyone! I do hope you are all well and have had a good weekend.
Saturday was a red letter day for me! I actually made...yes not just thought about... made...four Easter cards! That has to go in the diary as it usually takes me four weeks! Some were fairly quick.....in fact most of them when I think about it!...so here is one of them....NO ..I am not showing you all four at once, quick or not I have to save something to post or you may not see me for a long while :)

I just love lemon and purple together, it always says Spring to me, so that's my colour choice. The patterned background paper and the topper image are from LOTV  ( sadly no longer available). I embossed the scrap of lemon adorable scorable with a cuttlebug folder that has been in my possession along time! The stamped greeting was from a freebie set that I had in my stash.....obviously from a magazine at some time, ribbon, sparkle and flowers also from stash.

This card probably took the longest to make!...and perhaps that was my reason for the rest being quick and easy (not that this one was difficult!)

So we start another week, with the promise of Easter and an hour less in bed/crafting. This year has not slowed down any for me...has it you? Ca't believe April is fast approaching...yikes!

Just to finish I can't resist being the proud Grandma again and showing you the latest picture my son sent me of Thomas who is 6 weeks old now! ...time flying again! (sorry to bore you)...look away if I am! (boring you that is).

Almost a smile there I think!  :)

I'll be back later in the week with another Easter card (she says smuggly). Till then enjoy your week and keep smiling!

Hugs Carole xx

P.S. Popping to the Playground with this card....all snippets from the box...large and small! I want to see if there are any creme eggs hidden!!

Happy 'Mothers Day'

Happy Mothers Day....in the UK anyway... to all those mums out there both new ones and ones that have been mums for a while. Hope today you are all being spoiled.

Here is the card I made for my dear mum....

It's an 8 inch card layered with the green and pink backing papers (from stash) and the image is from the Downton Abbey CD Rom. I am not a great CD crafter but have to say that my critic (hubby) said that the image looked completely different made up than just when I had  printed it. I mounted it on some pale pink card and added a bit of gliiter to the flower centres.
The sentiment is again from stash (sorry don't know who's) as is the frame surrounding it. I stamped in sepia ink and coloured with a pink copic.
The trellis is from a die (a Spellbinders I think) BUT it is the wax paper that I used for release (waste not , want not) and I snipped it up (very technical) a bit, pearls and gems and done. Yes it sounds easy...but it actually took me  a day and a half to make.........well perhaps 3/4 of that was thinking what to do!!!
I will find out if mum likes it later today.

So what are we all up to? A celebratory meal perhaps?, spending time with the family?, crafting?, time to yourself? or just a normal Sunday?
ME? I am awaiting a visit from my eldest son who lives fairly near...and the youngest one who is in London busy with Thomas, Nicole and her family from Australia paid me a surprise visit on Thursday when he was up in Yorkshire with business, and called in to say hi!...a lovely surprise!
Who needs a special day to celebrate mums?
I am off to see my mum this afternoon and then enjoy dinner cooked by hubby!(he is proof reading this so he now knows he is doing dinner)  :)

Whatever you are doing...enjoy and thank you so much for giving of your precious time to stop by my blog and say hello! I love my blogging buddies!

Take care

'Rabbits Rabbits'

Hi there friends!.........
.........no my post is nothing to do with rabbits really but I believe that on the first day of the month if the month contains a letter R then you have to say 'Rabbits Rabbits' before anything else...then you will have a lucky month!!!!  So there I've said it.....have you?

Enough rabbiting (groan..sorry) and on to a card. A male birthday this time, but could be for a female too I guess.

The card is burgundy, not black as it looks in my photo. I stamped and heat embossed the bottle, glass and sentiment in black WOW powder and the colouring of the grapes was done with Twinkling H2o's........I had forgotten how delightful it is to paint with these. The stamps are 'Honey Doo crafts'.
I kept the card flat apart from the tiny bunch of grapes top right so it would post easily.

So..March eh!!!! No I haven't made any Christmas cards yet.......and no I haven't finished sorting the craft room. The lounge and dining room have been painted this week......moving furniture resulted in a spring clean of course!!.........where does all the dust come from??.........and yes one job leads to another two...well in this house anyway. I am a bit OCD on being clean and tidy really....just ask hubby... so I am always horrified when we.. (Royal we...hubby and eldest son) move that furniture that is too heavy to move weekly and find the dust and the odd dead spider (shudders at the thought)......never find any cash though!! Anyway what the eye don't see etc!!

Do hope you are all well and have enjoyed some sunshine of late...even though it has been cold. Today we are back to rain here........and my joints are telling me so.....who needs a weather forecaster!! Enjoy your week my friends, I will try and catch up with you soon. Thank you so much for stopping by and thank you if you leave me a comment, they are truly appreciated and I love reading them.

Off to finish my card for mum now!........and then see if I can de-clutter that craft room a bit!

See you soon
Hugs
