Ruby Wedding

Hi Everyone!...hope you are all well and ready for a long weekend both here and in the US.

Lets hope the weather is kind to us.

Wednesday gone was the Ruby Wedding Anniversary for my mum and Step dad. Here is the card I made for them.

Sadly last weekend mum fell and fractured her hip, so is in hospital and of course due to Covid restrictions we are unable to visit her....so her card remains at home unopened with others no doubt until such time as they can be together to open them. Lets hope it is not too long. She will be celebrating 101 years too in just over a week.

I have decided to share with you as they do not view my blog so no spoilers for them.

The stamp is of course Crafters Companion with a die that cuts out the middle part. I coloured with distress inks on CC watercolour card. I didn't seem to get much movement of the ink though. As the card has a slight texture, I used a plain bit in the middle with a computer generated sentiment, placed behind the aperture. All mounted on red, green and textures white card.

Have a good weekend folks...June is lurking round the corner....and please continue to take care!

  2. Hi Carole, Your card is beautiful and love the roses and they are beautifully coloured. Wow!! Your Mum is going to be 101!! Does she get another card from the Queen? Shame she is in hospital for her anniversary but she has a stunning card to come home to.
I tend to buy only Langton smooth watercolour card from Hobbycraft. If my colours don't want to behave, I wet the area of the card with clean water first and then put
    the colour on the card.
Have a lovely weekend Carole. Keep safe. Love and big hugs, Carol S.xxxx

  7. Hi Carole

Such a beautiful card for your Mum and Step Dad. Hopefully it won't be too long before your Mum can return home and they can celebrate their special Day together.

Can't believe your Mum is nearly 101 .. .. .. it only seems like two minutes that you were posting her 100th birthday card!

I hope your Mum is progressing well and that she is being well cared for. It must be heart breaking not to be able to go and visit her.

    Love Jules xx
