Hops....and hopping!

Hi everyone.!
Hope you are all OK and if not . I hope you will feel better soon. There certainly seems to have been a lot of bugs doing the rounds.

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments that you left on my last post. You are such a kind lot out there, and I love to read them all and truly appreciate you taking the time to leave them....mwah.

Well today is the last day of January!...where did that go? It doesn't seem like this year is going to go any slower than the last one unfortunately.
Life took over again for me of late, so apologies, I haven't been in blogland much. I'm just catching up on all your wonderful creations.I had a torn meniscus repair done on my knee. Clever thing this keyhole surgery... though sad to say the key to being 21 again didn't fit!!...lol.

Right on to crafting...or lack of! .........so I have hubby's birthday card  to show you this time around. It got missed in the run up to Christmas........bit like buses...all at once then nothing for ages. (Birthdays and Christmas that is at our house).

I used Cardio stamps and various little ink pads using a post it note to mask the centre rectangle. The sentiments are from stash...probably the only stamp I have for husband....and yes I know ...nobody's prefect!....but he comes pretty close in my book! :)

Ok folks..time to stretch the legs. Thank you for stopping by.....I do appreciate it.

Have a good rest of the week and weekend. I do hope the weather gets a bit better here in the UK......It's squally here today...sunshine, showers and wind and sleet! Roll on Spring!

'Hare today!'

Yes I'm hare today......sorry... here today.... with a 'hare' card. This never got blogged amid the Christmas cards so thought I would show you now......

I based my card on one by Becki in the Hobbyart gallery and used her colouring as a guide. I'll list the products used at the end of this post.

I trust you are all ready for the weekend...lets hope we have some brighter weather, it has been very gloomy here of late and I can say that I have not yet noticed that our days are supposed to be lengthening. Funny how we all want more time in December...pre Christmas and come January we are all saying roll on Spring!...Never satisfied!

Recipe:-

Stamps.....Stag and hare set by Hobbyart coloured with Copics and Prisma pencils with Sansador fluid.
Background wood effect paper....... from stash...probably Craftwork Cards.
Brown frame....... cut with Sue Wilson Double Pierced Squares dies.
Sentiment...unknown from stash.

So have a good weekend everyone, stay warm and well, and if you are under the weather I hope you get better soon.

Late Christmas cards!

Hi everyone.....back to normal after Christmas and New Year yet? Almost at this end, here there are just the trees to dismantle. Takes ages to pack away all those baubles doesn't it! Hubby is back at work after the break and so they will wait till Saturday and I will enjoy the telly by tree lights a bit longer on an evening.Still burning candles that will probably last till August too!

I have a couple of Christmas cards to share that never reached the blog but have reached the recipients!
First up......

A LOTV image coloured with copics.....quite a fiddly one to colour this one...but got there in the end and am pleased with the result (I know a first for me). Papers from stash and the holly is a die cut and the little tree a wooden embellishment (coloured with a copic marker)...both given the 'Glamour dust treatment' of course. perhaps I should try some on myself...Glamour dust that is!...do you think it would work?...probably not as i would like it to...lol.....oh and the sentiment is also LOTV.

and the second one......

a bit more upcycling/recycling here...just the middle panel. I scored either side of the panel mounted on the cream card base and then embossed with a long snowflake embossing folder either side. I am pleased with this one too and will look to make more of this type with a different band in the middle for 2018 ...watch this space!

It's blowing a gale here today in West Yorkshire so not venturing far today...maybe the craft room. It is my intention now to have a good sort out in there and be ruthless.......intention I said not resolution...lol. I have a box of NBUS needing a home, so again it is my intention not to buy anything new until the sorting is done and all the NBUS has a home...and been used too of course...should be a very profitable year for the bank account if I stick to that one!

Well best get on...take care wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing. Keep well and please do keep popping by my blog and saying hello...I love visitors as you know and the kettle is always on here in Yorkshire!
