'Get well' with a difference!

Hello blogging friends! I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.

No new crafting here yet...but....

I'm back with a card that I made before lockdown...but never blogged because it was for a friend having a joint replacement operation, which of course was cancelled because of Covid. However she has just had the said operation and so now she has at last received her card and I can share it with you.

Knitting is her hobby...here is her card......

The die is Crafters Companion...the rest, I am sorry I can't remember but I am sure the card is pretty much self explanatory and the sentiment is computer generated.

It may be a while before you see me again, some of you will know the reason for my long absence from blogland, but for those of you who don't and are wondering then please read on......

Sadly at the end of June my dear hubby, best friend and soulmate passed away, just 3 weeks after being given a terminal cancer diagnosis. We had no idea he was ill before then so it was a big shock and now I have to rebuild my life without him in it. He retired just  a year ago and we had plans to do so much together although Covid had already put a stop to that this year anyway.

I am sure you can understand why my crafting mojo has gone awol...I hope it will return soon, but till it does I am blessed to have wonderful blogging friends to help and inspire me.

Till next time, please take care, keep safe and well in this turbulent time .

Thank you and big hugs to you all.

Carole xx

  1. Ahh .. .. bless you Carole.

This must have been one very hard post for you to write. It has been a horrible year for so many people.

You know you are in my thoughts every day and I am hoping you will return to your love of crafting at some stage in the not too distant future. I miss seeing you in blogland.

Your card is beautiful. I love the embossing folder very much and the fun sentiments you have come up with. I bet your friend loves it too. Hope she is recovering well.

    Take care my friend.

    Love and tight squeezy hugs

  2. Oh Carole I had no idea how terribly hard this awful year has been to you. I'm so very sorry for your loss, words don't seem to convey my sadness for you and my hope you'll find the strength you need to heal. You've left comments on my cards and I had no idea you were hurting... much love and prayers, remember you have a very special guardian angel keeping you safe xxx

I can't begin to think how you are coping with such sadness and the extra burdens imposed by COVID.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers,

  8. Oh nooooo . . . I feel for you Carole. This year has been bad enough without something so awful happening for you on top. There are no words to express how truly sorry I am for you. I agree with Viv . . . baby steps.

Onto the card . . . terrific shape and perfect words. I hope your friend is making a good recovery.

Given all that's happened to you, I want to express my appreciation for you popping over to my blog and leaving a comment. Bless you.

  10. Oh Carole! I don't know why I suddenly felt the need to pop over to your bog - and what a shock to read about your husband. I had no idea - what a dreadful shock with so little time after his retirement. Please know I'm here if you ever need anything or just to email even. Now I know why you haven't been in the Playground with us for a while. Take care.

    Lots of love

    Di xx
