Better late than never! Last Sunday was my mums 100th Birthday.. Not quite the celebration it should have been. Covid has certainly spoiled a lot of thing for a lot of people this year.
As promised here is the card that I made for her.......
(Photo heavy...best get a cuppa...)
First up the box to put it in.....
and finally both together.
It was hard not being able to see her on her birthday and give her a hug...typical that the weather changed a couple of days before after all the glorious sunshine.
A little bit different for me...and if I am honest I am not sure about it even now. I think I have got used to the more CAS look.
Crafting has taken a back seat in the Dixon household just now, with life having taken a big change for us, and things to deal with...so if I am absent for a while, I haven't forgotten you all and will still be peeking at your creations but probably not leaving you the love you deserve in the form of a comment....forgive me please and be sure I will surface again at some point.
Till then...thank you for stopping by...and stay safe and well in this strange world.
Crafty hugs
Love Carole xx
A 100... what a milestone and I hope despite everything your Mum had a nice day. I haven't seen my parents for 12 weeks and I could quite cheerfully smack Boris Johnson squarely in his face. I can go to see a gorilla chowing down on a banana at the zoo but can't see my supportive parents... I'm just about done! Anyway, I think your floral card is perfect for your Mum, I think Mums like florals... fab matching box too. Hope to see you back blogging in the future, take care Carole x
ReplyDeleteWonderful card you should be so pleased with it the design is fabulous and what a wonderful achievement but sad as you say you could not get together It’s our Golden Wedding in July had a party booked for friends and the family at one of our favourite restaurants but I think it’s very doubtful it will go ahead . I hope you are OK this time has been extremely hard for everyone just hope things improve soon Take care and stay safe sending love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteHi Carole
ReplyDelete100 years! Wow!! What an achievement.
I hope your Mum had a lovely day even though celebrations needed to be put on hold.
Your card is beautiful and I am sure your Mum appreciated it. I love your paper choices and the card fold.
Still lots of punches lurking here in the house of hearts in my antique craft stash but not the one you have used here.
Sorry crafting has to go on the "back shelf" for a while .. .. but I shall look forward to future creations once things are back on track for you.
Hope all is well.
Love Jules xx
A wonderful milstone for your Mum Carole and yes COVID-19 has dimmed so many occasions that should have been cause for celebration, but I am sure she will really love the special card you made for her if for and in the knowledge it was made by you.
ReplyDeleteOur Granddaughters wedding should have been a couple of weeks ago so totally understand the disappointment, something non of us would have believed or considered at the beginning of the year.
