Happy Easter everyone!

Hello friends.....isn't it cold?...well it is here anyway and the heating is back on full - sadly. I can't believe we are in the middle of April and Easter is next weekend.....mmmmm..chocolate (I hope) ..nice (licking lips).

Not gong to rant today (deep breath)...one issue sorted and fingers crossed another one too...all will be apparent this week when I go to the pharmacy. If I just say GP practice then I am sure you will at least know where my frustrations lie!

I only send a few Easter cards so I batch made this week. A quick card......bar all the thinking and procrastinating!...lol
I bought the stamp at Stamparama at Harrogate and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Yes the card was quick when I had sussed out the best way to do it...here it is...

After experimenting with watercolour pens and watercolour card I reverted to my Copics and smooth card. The wash behind the chicks is a pale yellow Copic that I did after I had stamped and colored the chicks.
Poor photo due to poor light today, sorry. On this version I raised the mat on foam pads as it wasn't going in the post...the rest of the bunch I stuck flat to the card.

So that's that.... ..as they say.

I wish you all a very Happy Easter whatever your plans may be. Nothing special on the horizon here....more gardening for hubby and hopefully more crafting/sorting for me. We don't go far at Bank Holidays because everywhere is always so busy!

I am so pleased you stopped by...Thank You...I know time is precious and I really appreciate your lovely comments...they cheer me up immensely.

I am entering some challenges (if they're still open). I haven't joined in any in ages due to time restraints and nothing to fit the bill as it were.

Take care....and try not to eat too much chocolate!

Crafty hugs
Carole xx

  1. Carole, as I am writing this, I am eating a piece of plain 70% cocoa chocolate!!! Lol!! Love the little chicks and a very cute card. Like you, we stay home for Easter as the roads are to busy. The weather is supposed to be warmer, so hope to do a bit more in the garden. Have a lovely Easter. Hugs, Carol S.xxx

  2. Aww they're a pair of cutie pies wondering why that egg is a little different to normal. A great CAS design. Well I hope at some point in the not too distant future we can finally turn the heating off, I keep popping mine back on and its grating a bit because the weather really should be warmer, hey ho. Have a lovely Easter to you and your husband and I hope you get some yummy chocolate to indulge x

  6. Wide smile here Carole, think I can follow you and share the frustrations. Heating back on here as well, we've had hard frosts for five mornings in a row now.

It's a really cute Easter card and a lovely CAS design which is never easy to carry off.

  7. Hi, Carole! These little Easter Chicks are adorable! I believe they are the sweetest I've ever seen, and will visit the company to acquire them for myself! Your doodled frame is the perfect accompaniment with our beautifully colored chicks! Thanks for sharing your crafty project at the Moving Along With the Times Challenge Blog, and for supporting us. We hope you will visit again. Wishes for a wonderful day.

  9. That is the sweetest image and I love the CAS design of your card.
Happy easter to you too. No plans here apart from scoffing an easter egg or two and sitting out in the garden if the weather is good! I did some 'Granny' online easter egg buying for Asher's mom to collect in store and popped her a card in the post but that is the extent of our easter xx

  10. What a cute Easter card Carole! Love your sweet little chicks looking puzzled at the patterned egg lol! The yellow background and the stitched mat are great ingredients for a lovely CAS design. I'm glad the week is turning out better than the last one and I wish you a very happy Easter with a visit from the bunny.
