Schools Out!

Hello there!.....yes the kids break up from school today in the UK ready for their summer break. I have a card to share that I was asked to make for a teacher leaving/retiring from the profession......

The wording was a request and the inside says'YIPPEE' !! The image was a freebie on the internet (took longer to find a suitable image than make the card) and I layered the middle bit for a bit of dimension after adding my own wording to the blackboard.

Well we are having a shower here in West Yorkshire this afternoon...not a very heavy one (barely wet the paths)so I don't think it will do a lot of good but it may freshen up the grass....and it allows me to do inside jobs rather than want to be outside.

The craft room sorting?... I hear you say....not much further on.....crafting seems to have really taken a back seat too as it seems to have done with a lot of people as I pop into blogs................so if you have taken the time to 'pop' into mine then Thank you...glad I still have some friends  :)

Have a lovely weekend everyone...we are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary this weekend with a day out somewhere and a meal. I can't believe it is a year since we were at Niagara Falls....wish we still were!

Take care and see you soon...with the Anniversary card for hubby of course!!

  1. Brilliant card Carole. Love the design and must have taken you ages to make. Here in Suffolk, we haven't seen any rain for months!! No pleasing us!! We moan when we have too much rain and now the moan is too much sun!! Have a lovely Anniversary day. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  3. What a fun card Carol and so fitting for the occasion. I love the blackboard on the front! We had a couple of showers too and it has been overcast today. The gardens really need it but it has been nice to be able to actually plan a BBQ in advance - unheard of in Manchester lol! Will you be hit by the hosepipe ban?

  6. You've designed a perfect card for your friend, ready to embark on a new life's path! Let's just say: I can relate! Yayyy! We've been having mercurial weather here: with hot, sun-filled skies quickly transforming to thunderclouds and rainstorms. Forecast is for another bout of heat...we'll see what happens!
Yes, crafting does appear to be taking a 'holiday' around blog land, but I wonder if it's more due to people opting to post on instagram rather than on their blogs. The changes to comment visibility have certainly put a damper on my blogging. I'm still crafting though! Have to, as I have piles of goodies clamouring for my attention *grin*
