Hi there folks! Hope you are all well.
Mothers Day is looming here in the UK at the end of the month and Spring and Mothers Day...Easter too..... always say yellow/purple to me. So...I chose purple for my card for mum and used a freebie set that came recently with a magazine.
The backing paper is from a now discontinued (sadly...I love this pad) LOTV pad. The tea-cup is a die and the flowers and tag are stamps that were embossed in gold and fussy cut after coloring with copics. I raised the flowers on 3D foam pads. The bit of trellis is from a Spellbinders die. Lots of snippets used here so no prizes where I will be heading this week! The centre panel is also raised on foam.
Apologies for the dire photo...I really seem to have lost the knack but have also changed my 'take area' and I don't think it is as good.
So I am organised for that occasion and mum won't be peeping so she will not see it.
We've had a few nice Spring days here and the little daffs are in full bloom in the garden, the snowdrops are finished though. The ground is just so wet with all the rain and never seems to dry up.
Hope you are all having a good week, I see some beautiful work in blogland and it never ceases to amaze me how prolific some of you are with your cards...it takes me hours just to do one!! You wouldn't believe how long it took to put this together...choosing the right papers etc..........absolutely ages.
Ok time for a cuppa and see if there is anything on the box worth watching.
Take care everyone, stay well, see you again soon.

This really is a pretty card Carole. I have this set and like it a lot. I love the colours you've used and the trellis die cut looks very pretty too. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteAS Barb says, this is such a pretty card Carole. Lovely colours and a delightful design - love the teacup! Your Mum will love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame when we're beginning to run out of our favourite LOTV papers isn't it :( You can often find the same designs on either the Raspberry Road or Nitwits Designs websites as they both did LOTV collections, often using designs they still sell themselves.

This is lovely Carole, perfect for Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder how people make so many cards, like you it takes me hours to do one and even after I've laid it all out I quite often don't like it once it's stuck!

This is beautiful Carole, love the design with the die-cut cup and the gold embossing on the flowers. I'm being very careful with my LOTV papers too and hoarding every little snippet! Hope everything is good with you xx
ReplyDeleteYour pretty teacup filled with lovely flowers is beautiful and oh, how wonderfully it pairs with your fabulous background paper! Your mom will love this, as do I! Mother's Day is in May here, so I have a 'bit' of time to create a card, although given how quickly the months are flying, perhaps I should start sooner rather than later! We've been tossed back into winter this week; at the moment, the snow is falling, the temperature is dropping and we've lost an hour! Gahhh! Oh well, we'll adjust and the warm weather will make an appearance at some point. Looking forward to seeing the leaves bud on the trees! Thank you ever ever ever so much for commenting on my niece and nephew's GD artwork! You made them and Aunty c incredibly happy!
