Hi there.....yes it 's me!.... With a card!.... Thank you for popping by it is so much appreciated.
Well I am getting a bit more back into my card making but I have to say that the ideas are very slow to come hence this one is basically a copy of one on a leaflet that I picked up. It uses Sara Davis's signature butterfly collection....very pretty, but I take no credit whatsoever for the design. I do like the end result though. Just very slightly different in the dies I used.
A bit of a dark and miserable day here again today so the photo is not as bright as it should be. All papers and the butterfly and with love dies are from the above mentioned range. The leafy swirl is one of the very first dies I ever bought and I think it is a Marianne die...can't be certain though! Pretty straightforward in its construction. I just love the font on these dies.
Bonfire night is in full swing round here with fires and rockets etc...quite noisy...bet tomorrow will be foggy again!
So how are we all? I hope you are all well. I know you are all crafting like mad and putting me to shame...but watch this space I will be back next week ......with....tadaaaaaa....my first Christmas card.............again not my design, but worth a blog anyway I reckon.
So what are we all up to this weekend? Hubby has a long weekend ...so ....it's Christmas shopping tomorrow and Monday..............think it will take me a while...plenty of tea breaks!! and rest stops....but it has to be done. Just think how smug I will feel when it is done! It's a bit like card making really isn't it...the shopping...coming up with the idea is the hard bit!
Wherever you are and whatever you do , enjoy it and stay safe. Thanks again for popping by....hope to see you all again soon.
Off the the snippets playground with this as those tiny butterflies and fronds were cut from left over bits in the box......may see some of you there.

Simply Paper Card Design
Hi Carole, doesn't matter a jot that it's not entirely originally. Everyone takes inspiration from something! And anyway, as you say, you have made yours different and that's what makes it special.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't too noisy here last night. It was a miserable driech night and I think that put some folk off. There's been a couple of bangs tonight tho' maybe they were selling them off cheap today and us Scots love a bargain!
Hope your shopping goes well. We haven't started yet but then we don't have much to get - a small family!
Hope you are keeping well, Liz x
Hi Carole great card its such a pretty design can see why you used it I love the colours. Enjoy your shopping, like you love doing it but never know what to buy its so hard when you buy year after year for the same people I'm starting mine on Monday with the easy ones. Look forward to your next lovely creation Take care Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Carole and love the colours and the butterflies. Glad to see you back again. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, the butterflies and swirls of leaves! You are so lucky to be going shopping..how fun. Yesterday I was able to get together with some friends to stamp. We made quite a few cards...it was a fun time. Have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteWhatever the source of you card, dear friend, it is still infused with YOUR special touches, style and flair! The paper, the swirls, the sentiment and the gorgeous caught-my-attention-immediately butterfly...swooning! Gorgeous! I'm thrilled that you're on the mend - and the thought of seeing your first Christmas card has me giddy! Imagine the squeals of delight you'll hear when it makes its appearance! We had a quiet weekend - two big bike rides for my husband (despite gusty winds and the threat of snow...yes, "fanatic' is correct *grin*) while I 'attempted' some cards (a few worked...) and did some major cleaning up. Had to be done! Your shopping venture sounds splendid and yes...you can smug alllll you want once you're done! You're such a gem; made my evening sparkle this visit did!
