Hello everyone!
The kettle is on so make yourself comfy and lets have a natter. So how are we all at the end of another week? Good I hope...better than the weather here...it's cold, wet and squally (windy gusts with rain for those that do not know that word). Definitely a stay indoors day...that's why I have to go out later!!
First I must welcome Kim as my latest follower and she makes my numbers to a nice round 30 (just my age...I wish)......Thank you Kim...... I hope you will be a regular caller Kim as time allows.
Here it is then...the long awaited first Christmas card.......taken from a Creative Expression design so once again I take no credit for that though I did change the embossing folder and the colour of the tree.
I used my new double pierced square dies (Sue Wilson) for my mats. The tree is also Sue Wilson and the embellishments are Creative Expressions. A bit of 3D foam for dimension ...not photographed well I am afraid.
OK so that fired a little inspiration and I came up with a twofer (as they seem to call it).
Smaller and flatter and easier to post and very simple too (don't say it). I used the snowfall embossing folder from Taylored Expressions (I think). A good one for batch making this one.
Well I spent the last two weeks with trips to the dentist as I broke a tooth! I tell you my body is falling apart...and the Body Shop does not seem to sell what I need! Oh! and the washing machine has now decided it's time to play dirty (get it?...oh never mind) and so the repair guy is due Monday. It will have taken a week by then for them to get to it...imagine what will be happening here on Monday! Everything is packing up this year in this household...yes including me....good job hubby keeps going. Mmmmmm that's a thought I wonder if he could put me on a maintenance contract (he probably thinks I already am...maintained by him at a cost)....lol
Well I wish you all a super weekend...........Christmas shopping is done at this end (SMUG or what!)
Take care, keep safe and well....and I truly do appreciate all your lovely warm and supportive comments that you leave for me.Thank You all....it is so good to catch up with friends.
See you next week I hope.

Hi Carole it sounds as if you've had a trying week. You're certainly going to be busy with the washing on Monday when your machine is back in action. Hope the tooth is sorted too. Chin up girl I think we're all falling apart!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you have managed, through all of it, to make two lovely cards. I really must get some of those rectangular dies. Love the embellishments too. Have a good weekend and hopefully a better week. Barbxx
Good Morning Carole! I LOVE that tree, and the embellishments in the corners are so sweet! The embossing is so pretty, too.
ReplyDeleteThe dentist sounds like no fun...I have to go next week, and pay a fortune for a crown I suppose. I also have trouble sitting still that long.I'm worse then a kid. Haha!
Have a great day!
Carole: feeling for you with the trips to the dentist (yes, they're 'nice' people, but they scare me!) and washing machine playing dirty. Your sense of humour, however, shines through the mass of nuisances; your positive attitude will see things right in no time! Enjoy the don't have to do laundry time while you have it *grin* Your cards...oh my! Gorgeous, both! Your weather mirrors ours, although we have a 'heavy snowfall warning' attached! Sheesh...have to find my winter boots! Wishing you a marvelous Friday; you've made mine wonderful in seeing you back crafting!! Hugs and love!
