Firstly thank you all for your feedback on my last post. it seems a varied choice of favourite on the cards, but the sparkly green came in for a lot of mentions. I have one of each and may be will do more in even different colour ways...time dependent as there is so much else I want to do.
Ok onto my card this time, well this is a quick card......LOL.....don't be silly ...quick is not in my regime.
The image was coloured way back when we had temperatures in the 80s and I wanted to craft and be outside at the same time.So I coloured some stamped images from LOTV............time yesterday to make this one into a card..........won't take long says she!
Out came the papers...and more papers...boy I have such a lot , and now some I had forgotten about. I chose some blue ones, and then I found these red and green ones...they match the scarf, so blue ones discarded. Well that was an hour gone!!.and then another hour to assemble said card, and then I thought why did I choose red and green for a snowman!! Too late!..........so nothing quick about this card really was there.
The LOTV image was coloured with copics for those of you wondering...You weren't? OK well I have told you now.the sentiment is also from LOTV and the poinsettia is Spellbinders ...layered poinsettia sprinkled with Glamour dust...love that stuff and James's hat was too.
I am entering this card in a few challenges.......see end of post. it will probably take me as long to do all that linking stuff as it did to make the card!
OH! the Age UK van is outside.............they must have come for me!!!!!!! eeek.............oh he's turnig round..........phew............ reprieve!.....
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, keep well and take care. Thanks so much for stopping by and adding your friendship.........so much appreciated, I love it when you leave me a comment. Wouldn't it be great if we could all get together for a crafty session
See you soon
Hugs Carole xx
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Christmas card challenge #48----------------Anything goes Xmas
Craftycardmakers------------------------------Cut it out, Die cutting /punching....die cut mats for image and sentiment and die cut poinsettia.
Papertake Weekly----Sketch 95--------------moved the sentiment and added the poinsettia for balance.
LOTV--------------------------------------------Anything goes.
Carole, your post made me laugh aloud; nearly spilled my coffee at one point! Great post - and your 'many hours' teddy and snowman card is absolutely fantastic, surrounded by an eye-catching complement of patterned papers and an eye-catching poinsettia. Charming and pretty! Copics...sigh! I have only 12, so my 'attempts' to colour with them are often pathetic. I've heard about the 'newcomers' on the block - the chameleon markers - and those have piqued my interest. Oh, to have a lottery win! Enjoy Wednesday immensely!

ReplyDeleteWell it has rained all day, here in West Sussex. I am glad that I am not the only one, that spends hours trying to find the right papers. I keep telling myself to get papers first and colour image to the papers!! That's too easy! I love your card and my favourite, James the bear. Coloured beautifully and the papers are lovely too. Adorable snowman, Carole! Thanks for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges.
ReplyDeleteHiya Carole, many apologies for my late comment on your fabulous card - blame half term! The kids ran me ragged! It's wonderful card, and I know how much effort you have put into it. It's fabulous and I can just imagine you sitting in the garden colouring it! Sooo many papers, so much choice hey? Well you made lovely choices, and I bet you had fun rummaging through all your stash too, so no problem! You were right in your email to me, I still have unused CC stash from their last warehouse clearance so decided to stay home and craft instead of denting the bank balance. Hope we didn't miss any AMAZING bargains!!! As for Age UK, they're a few months early aren't they? Only joking you're a spring chicken, ok a summer chicken xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteSo funny, bet we'll all end up in that van soon! Not before we have that big crafty get together though!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, as always, Liz x
