Ruby Wedding

Hi Friends

Another weekend is fast approaching and today has now got out sunny and quite warm here in West Yorkshire. I hope it is nice wherever you are and that you have something nice planned for the weekend.

My card is for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary, and I have to say that  I am still a little unsure on this one...the jury is out.
My personal critic (hubby) says it's fine...but still something niggles at me...perhaps you friends out there can throw some light on it!

I used the same memory Box Queen of Heart die and layered it up on pearlescent card cut with Sue Wilson's Californian collection..basic and decorative. The base card is a textured pearlescent card. The sentiments are from stash...not sure who's make I have had them a while.

There we have it...I would appreciate your feedback as I still look at it now and feel it is not quite right.
Thank you for stopping, I really appreciate the time you take...it is so precious, and if you leave a comment...and a bit of criticism you will make me smile for sure.
Enjoy your weekend
Take care
Hugs
Carole xx

  1. Well I think it is gorgeous. The only thing I probably would have done, was edged the sentiment piece of card, with a matching ink to the ruby card. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  2. Thank you carol you are probably right...I had hoped to stamp directly on to the base card but it was too textured. xx

  3. It looks absolutely beautiful to me, Carole! I find it really difficult to come up with designs for special occasions like this but you have done a fantastic job. The dies and gems look so elegant!

  7. Carole, I'm joining the choir in praising the elegance and class of this lovely card! The colours and textures complement one another beautifully. The couple you're going giving this to will absolutely adore it, as do I!! You've reminded me of the pretty ring I have with diamonds and a ruby that I MUST wear more often. Going to find it later and put it on!

  8. Hello! Blog catch up evening, how I missed this one I don't know! It is absolutely lovely, you are too hard on yourself. My own thoughts would be for some matching red behind the sentiment, and the couple's initials in the middle instead of the word Ruby... or is she called Ruby?! Ha ha, don't be daft, your cards are faberrific, anyone would be honoured to receive one xxx
