Hi there!
Yesterday was my eldest son's birthday and he has taken an interest in growing bonsai. No guesses for what his present from me was! and my card was made on that theme too. It was difficult to design so in the end I incorporated a reveal wheel with sentiments from Crafters Companion.
It seemed to go down well anyway!
I can't believe we are into May...this year is zipping by and the news is still as depressing as it has been for the last two years. Here in the UK there doesn't seem any conversation other than War, Covid and the price of things!...best not forget the weather either, we love to moan about that!..lol
On a positive note the days are longer and the sun shines on occasion which makes one feel better. Yeah to be able to dry the washing outside! and hear the birds singing.
I hope things are good wherever you are and you are finding some positivity .
Thank you for popping by and the lovely comments you leave me which make my day.
Take care and stay safe and well.
Crafty hugs and a smile to make your day. :)

Hope you get my comment Carole as I haven't used the Captcha.
ReplyDeleteYour card is stunning and not surprised he loved it. Dare I say it, that I wish we could have some rain. We haven't had any for weeks and the garden is needing to be watered. Big hugs and best wishes, Carol S.xxxx
What a fabulous card Carole and I love the design of it, great colours too. Yes, it would be really easy to get depressed at the moment. I've completely stopped watching the news as it just fills me with anxiety and dread. Like you say, look for the positives in every day. I too love to hear the birds singing and everything is starting to bloom, so lots of lovely things to see. Take care and stay happy x
ReplyDeleteOh my I have to agree with you regarding the news, that's all we hear!! I can't read anything anymore. However, your card is a teat! Love the design and a very happy birthday to your son... Be well
ReplyDeleteHi Carole
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card for your son….
Love it

That's a clever card and the bonsai looks super cool... He must have some patience for growing bonsai, but definitely worth the effort for those perfectly formed miniatures x
ReplyDeleteWonderful guy card!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea, I like the reveal idea. It does help when people have an interest (especially men) you can add to the card. I think all we can do is take those precious little things and enjoy them. The bigger picture is too much. xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to tailor the card to your son's interest in Bonsai, Carol and I love the clever reveal wheel sentiment. The whole thing looks very classy with the textured card and black mats! I agree that the news is grim, but things don't seem to make it the news bulletins unless it is bad news. Yay for some sunshine and warmth though.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Hugs
