'Allsorts' challenge

NO not how quick can I eat a box of the liqourice variety!...think of the consequences!!!...on second thoughts don't!....it's the card challenge of course.

Hi everyone...thanks for stopping by. It seems this year is going faster than the last one did...for me anyway and I have only done a little bit of crafting, but for a very important person....Thomas In Australia will be 3...yes I know 3!.....at the beginning of February.....it's time again whizzing past in the blink of an eye.

Here is the card...already on it's way down under......

No they won't peak!...I never got any feed back on the Christmas card I sent so I don't hold out much hope on getting any on this one either...but...I keep sending as grandma's and mums do!.....but I will welcome your feed back! :)

I've had this lovely bright card in my stash for ages so that was my starting point and the rest followed on using snippets from my ever growing box. The number 3 is a Verso tonic large number die....and the little circular tractor and lorry buttons were punched from a coordinating sheet of card.
I decorated the inside to match.

Talking of snippets....I have just had to have re sort...makes a change from the knicker drawer...lol!!!! The box was an old toy box from when my boys were little, the sort that could have castors on the bottom and would stack. Sadly it fell off the box it was stacked on...all the card all over the floor underneath my desk...rescued by hubby as I can't get down there (where would I be without him?).....and there was an almighty split right across the bottom of the box!....does that show how heavy it was with card?...probably , but perhaps the plastic was brittle with age!!...lol...bit like me!
Anyway its been sorted and is awaiting a new box now!

Snippets playground here I come...it's been ages, so looking forward to hearing how everyone has broken their New Years Resolutions.

I have waffled long enough, time for a cuppa, please stay and join me.
Thank you for calling in on me and your feedback is always appreciated...as are all of you.

Take care and see you soon.
Crafty hugs
Carole xx

  2. I brilliant card for a 3 year old Carole. Lots of things to look at. We never heard from 2 of our grandchildren at Christmas. Our granddaughter is 13 next Sunday and I know all we will get is a thank you text from my daughter. Not how my children were brought up. Hey Ho, rant over and at least I know someone is experiencing the same as us!! Hugs, Carol S.xx

  3. A fabulously bright and cheerful card, Carole, perfect for a three year old. I had to smile reading your post, especially when you said your hubby rescued the card from under your desk. I got to the bit about an almighty split right across the bottom..... and thought at first you were talking about your hubby's trousers! LOL! I'm glad it was only the box! xx

  4. What a terrific card for your grandson!! He's sure to love this even if grandma can't be there...
I had a sort out in my craft room and well, most places in the house... But it's one thing deciding to sort and another for the cardstock to tell you to sort!
    Lol!! Enjoy your day!

  6. That's perfect for your 3 year old grandson... It's happy, colourful and has tractors on it, definitely a winner. I love seeing children's cards in primary colours especially with a big number and I'm sure he'll love it when he opens it :) x

  8. What a perfect birthday card for your little Grandson Carole and I love those bright primary colours. I hear you about not getting feedback on your handcrafted goodies. I think many people do not understand the love we pour into a hand made greeting and are a bit baffled that we don't just pop down to the shops lol!
I hope 2019 is a good year for you.
    Hugs

  12. Oh Carole - what a brilliant card! Its really fabulous and perfect for a three year old. I too hear what you say about lack of acknowledgement. The grand children are great (they're Len's really!) but he has a great niece and nephew aged 20+ and their Mum still emails to say thanks - we include cheques!! It's so rude and I would stop given half a chance but then we'd be in the wrong no doubt so we soldier on! One of our neighbours kiddies actually came and knocked on the door to say thanks for his Birthday card recently - that was a first! Otherwise they just seem to drop into black holes, sigh, Thinking about it I wonder if the little fella was hoping to see Dudley at the same time! :) Giggled here about the snippets storage - I use one of those expanding many pocketed files and fully expect it to suddenly fall apart as it's stuffed so full! GREAT to see you in the Playground - come back soon, at least we all appreciate your gorgeous work!

    Hugs
