Hi there!.....another week nearly gone!
Popping by today with card that I actually made back in January as it had to travel lots of miles!...I hope it got there safely. Today Thomas is 2...I know...2!!!!, but as Oz is 12 hours ahead of us his birthday is over and done with over there.
I was pleased how this turned out actually...and hubby helped with all the paper piecing on the train which is a Tonic die.The rest of the dies are from my stash and the steam is actually cloud dies. background paper is from a LOTV pad. the banner sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Sue Wilson banner die.
I have been trying to sort out the Craft Room a bit...laughable really...hubby helped on Sunday...we cleared the floor of stuff (out on to the landing)...then I sorted a cupboard...made half a shelf space which is now filled...and then...yes you guessed it...we put all the stuff back on the floor........again!...sigh. There is no two ways about it...my room is FULL!....though to be fair it is not just papercraft stuff, there is all my cake decorating stuff...beading...cross stitch...shall I continue?...NO..it depresses me ! The bag of NBUS still sits (on the floor) waiting for a home....sigh!
If you see me at a papercraft show this year please remind me NOT to buy anything...LOL!!
Nothing much else to report from my end. The snow missed us again thankfully but it is very cold.
I hope all is good with all of you, keep warm , well and safe and thank you for stopping by...see you again soon.
Hugs
Carole xx
The bag of NBUS can find a home here???? LOL Hope you are doing Ok. And what a great card! Haven't been to a craft show in years - intending though to make one in October... have all summer to save up.
ReplyDeleteThomas is two? Already? Oh my stars; how time flies! How sweet your train for your little guy - and made all the more sweet in that your husband helped with the piecing! Infused with love, through and through! I returned from my working visit with my mom last weekend and apparently, the nearly three week venture was more 'depleting' than I realized! Since Monday, I've been flat-out-exhausted with some sort of stomach flu; no energy, no appetite, no...anything! Feeling sorry for myself! Hopefully, this will pass soon...and I suspect it will take a while to regain my energy/weight (which I'm not happy about losing...just adds to the stress, lack of resistance...). Anyway...enough of my pity-party! Your crafting room sounds rather like fun, with bits of this, bobs of that. It's okay to have lots of stuff, especially when it makes you happy! Organizing will happen, in due course...maybe *grin* We're having another snow storm here; going to carry on recuperating by tucking myself under a quilt, on the couch, and watch Olympics...

Brilliant card and love the detail. Great idea with the clouds. I quite often have a blitz in my room. The problem is then I forget where I have moved things too! My hubby's brother had his 64th birthday last Sunday in Oz but sadly passed away on the Tuesday before. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteGosh Carole I cannot believe Thomas is two what happened to that time Your card is adorable bet he loves that special train your helper did well !! I sorry you mentioned craft rooms sounds exactly like mine and like you new stuff keeps appearing amd it has no home Take care Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Carole, I bet Thomas loved it and how great that it was a joint effort with hubby too :) My craft room is due yet another sort out too !
ReplyDeleteHugs Kaz xx
A gorgeous, perfect card for a two year old. It seems everyone is having an early spring clean and bemoaning how much stash they have. It's all so tempting though!
ReplyDeleteSo cute for a 2 yr old! The time flies! I have been trying to sort through my stuff too which can be overwhelming. But it's kinda fun to look at everything again too. LOL! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Carole and perfect for Thomas. I can't believe just how fast the time has gone and how quickly they're growing.
ReplyDeleteStill not finished my craft clearout - I definitely won't let my hubby help 'cos if I leave anything lying about he always asks if it's for the dustbin! Hope you're keeping okay xx
Awh! I just love this Carole, I'm sure Thomas did too!.. It's freezing here in Doncaster today, also very dark... hope the knee is healing and not giving you too much jip :)...
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,
Sis xxxxx
Your card for Thomas is fabulous Carole and how lovely that your hubby helped with the paper piecing.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile when I read about your craft room clear up .... snap! I have a craft trolley on the floor full of NBUS and have to haul a bag to craft club when I go. Barbxx
You let your Hubby into your craft room!!! What a brave woman you are!!
ReplyDeleteThankfully my small craft pod is too small to get more than just me in .. .. I don't want him seeing all my craft goodies .. .. he might think I don't need any more!!! LOL!!
Love your card for Thomas. Such a cute little scene.
Love Jules xx
