Hi there everyone!...and welcome to my latest followers Ksenija and ...I hope you will stop by often and continue to like what you see.,,,,that goes for everyone else too mind! I really appreciate all your visits ad lovely comments...THANK YOU so very much.
So have you all had a good weekend? ...today it has been cold but really sunny with clear blue skies and it wasn't dark tonight till 6.0pm!!..surely that's.got to mean that we are on our way to spring, especially with the little daffs now bending there heads ready to burst forth in bloom.
Today I am sharing a Sympathy card that I have had to make for a friend...not the type of cards one likes to make but sometimes necessary unfortunately....
Apologies for the quality of the photo, the paper looks very washed out in the picture but it is a tad deeper in the flesh. You can just see the butterfly which I thought added to the occasion.
I cut a square..pierced and cut a pierced circle from that, raised it on foam pads over the snippet of backing paper and before sticking down added the memory Box poppy behind, just to one side to show that pale butterfly.
Sentiment stamped in Versafine Onyx....job done. This has winged it's way to my friend now so could't re photograph.
I am entering this in a couple of challenges that I am not sure whether it qualifies for or not...so to the organiser...please feel free to exclude me if my criteria is not as should be.
Ok...have you got a busy week lined up?...I'll let you into a secret...it's going to be one of those fast ones again...lol!
Thanks for popping in, for the love ad encouragement you leave me...and for being my friends.
Take care, keep safe and well...see you soon...off to watch the skating....
Hugs

Happy Valentine's Day!
Yes..........Happy Valentine's day to all my friends and followers!
Here's hubby's card........
An aperture cut in a piece of linen card with a dictionary page behind it...note it is the 'v' page with the definition of Valentine...you can just see it above the heart if you look closely. The heart is a Sizzix heart cut from a snippet of red mirri card and the sentiments are Uniko. I felt it just needed the small gems to bring it to life. It' a 7 inch square card by the way.
I am not a fan of making cards for men I have to say and even less for valentine...I don't know why I find it so hard...but I do!
I hope you have all received at least one valentine card today....good job hubby got mine as all the postie brought him was a letter from the tax man...brown envelope so NOT a Valentine me thinks!!..lol...........having said that the postie brought me zilch....got a lovely card from hubby though.
We got engaged on valentines day 26 years ago, so tonight we are celebrating with M&S dine in for two.....pretty glad when you look out the window today...wet and sleety, cold , grey and miserable...nice to be in the warm all cosy and romantic...or am I just getting old?
I do hope you enjoy your Valentines night however you are celebrating...if you do of course.
Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your week..........and if you leave me some love in the way of a comment then....... mwah..............Thank you, I love to read them all.
Take care

Thomas is 2.
Hi there!.....another week nearly gone!
Popping by today with card that I actually made back in January as it had to travel lots of miles!...I hope it got there safely. Today Thomas is 2...I know...2!!!!, but as Oz is 12 hours ahead of us his birthday is over and done with over there.
I was pleased how this turned out actually...and hubby helped with all the paper piecing on the train which is a Tonic die.The rest of the dies are from my stash and the steam is actually cloud dies. background paper is from a LOTV pad. the banner sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Sue Wilson banner die.
I have been trying to sort out the Craft Room a bit...laughable really...hubby helped on Sunday...we cleared the floor of stuff (out on to the landing)...then I sorted a cupboard...made half a shelf space which is now filled...and then...yes you guessed it...we put all the stuff back on the floor........again!...sigh. There is no two ways about it...my room is FULL!....though to be fair it is not just papercraft stuff, there is all my cake decorating stuff...beading...cross stitch...shall I continue?...NO..it depresses me ! The bag of NBUS still sits (on the floor) waiting for a home....sigh!
If you see me at a papercraft show this year please remind me NOT to buy anything...LOL!!
Nothing much else to report from my end. The snow missed us again thankfully but it is very cold.
I hope all is good with all of you, keep warm , well and safe and thank you for stopping by...see you again soon.
Hugs
