Well HELLO everyone!!
I can't believe it is a month since I last blogged, life takes over and I had nothing crafty to share......if you are reading this then thank you for staying with me.
My card I do have to share today is a one layer card currently winging it's way 'down under' (I hope) to my youngest son who will be celebrating his birthday in October. Also I have used NBUS (never before used stuff) that I have had in my possession a while (hanging head in shame) so thought I would hop over to Darnell's challenge with this card......
Recipe:-
Stamps.....Uniko 'Explosive Additions' and 'Simply Said Birthday' (Happy Birthday)
SON from stash.
Inks Memento--- Bahama blue and Tangelo
Versafine--- Majestic Blue for sentiments.
Glamour dust on large explosions...not showing well on the photo!
So what have you all been up to? I have been popping in on your blogs and admiring all the wonderful work out there....makes me feel very inadequate I have to sat you clever bunch.
Hubby had a weeks holiday earlier in the month and we spent a couple of days in Watford . We visited the Harry Potter Studios...Wow!!...A-maz-ing!!!! and I was also lucky enough to be able to go to Ally Pally (good planning on my part don't you think?).... and spend way too much money! Now I reckon I could do NBUS for weeks and weeks!!! and need a lot of time and motivation to use it all.
I am currently digging out all my Christmas stuff from my craft room so I can see what I have and get started on those Christmas cards! Boy I have too much stuff!!!!....and still I buy more!! When I say to hubby I don't really need this he just smiles knowingly !!...know what I mean?
Ok well hope you are all well and Thank You so much for popping in to see me. I will try to be a better blogger but I do want to get back into my cross stitch this winter and nudge it a little closer to finished...hmmm...it's been a work in progress for a few years now!
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend......raining here and hubby is out chasing steam trains at the North Yorkshire Moors and I am meant to be in the craft room...so ta ra for now and if you leave me a comment I shall be so thrilled to know you have stuck with me.
Crafty hugs
Carole xx

I love your manly design for your son's birthday, Carole! The happy explosions in those colors and the doodled border are fantastic! It's good to see you back using some of that NBUS of yours! Thank you very much for playing in my Challenge #12! I hope it inspires you to craft and blog more often! We miss you!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card for your son! I'm sure he will love it too! Yep, time sure does go fast but glad to know all is well and you've been enjoying yourself.. Take care...

Hiya, fabby card. I'll be winging one down under soon too (that sounds a bit rude)to my brother in NZ (I think he'll be getting a recently made hedgie). I'm blogging less too, and yet I have a bit more time, too much on Facebook I think. So, was Ally Pally good? I keep threatening to go but miss it each time. Maybe just as well as hubby says every card I make costs £85!!
ReplyDeleteFab card Carole, sent Mr. Mojo over to your house, has he arrived yet?... let's try and have a chat on skype soon...
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
M xxxxx
Super card for your son, those explosions look fab and work brilliantly for a male card x
ReplyDeleteCAROLE! *waving wildly* I've fallen so behind in commenting that it's ridiculous! The Time Eating Monster is more than hyper-active at times and has a ferocious appetite too! Cheering and applauding your fabulous 'explosions' and the doodly frame simply adds to the impact! Your son will love this, as do I! I really need to start on Christmas cards; the current tally is two made! Panic button sure be pressed soon! Right now, focusing on DT cards and a whole BUNCH of Halloween mini cards/tags for my niece and nephew's classmates! Once those are done, busting out with the Christmas! Thank you for sticking by me despite my spates of MIA! You're the best!

Oh tell me about it Carole, I just get into a good routine with my blogging and commenting and then before I know I've missed a month again!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been busy, I think I need to make some cards with NBUS, what a good idea!
Love this, perfect for posting overseas and your son will love it.
Ally Pally is supposed to be such a nice show and I've never been.

PS. Harry Potter studios is on our list for next year, my Daughter recently went and loved it!
Hi Carole, I'm trying to spend a bit more time catching up properly and realised I'd missed this one. It's a super card and I hope it arrived okay. Those Uniko stamps are fabulous aren't they - I've just ordered another set from their new release xx
