Good Morning friends!
How is it with you all this morning? I hope you are all well.
Here in West Yorkshire...another cloudy day...promise of a shower...maybe the sun may peek through and it's a little cooler than late (cardigan weather). I reckon that's covered all bases...lol....Do you think I could make it as a weather girl?.............mmm....maybe not!
A 'Cardio' stamp card today..........not an original....Wendy does some lovely cards with her stamps and this set is great for those male cards.....or even female. So I was having a play and basically 'cas-ing' Wendy though her card was slightly larger than mine to accommodate more rollers.
The roller is a stamp.....the paint streaks are from 1 inch pads (exactly the right width for the roller...well thought out Wendy!) and it probably took the most time to get this right (its the angle of the pad you know) I added Diamond Glaze to the roller and paint streak though it doesn't show well in the photo.
The sentiment is Clearly besotted and the the squiggly line is hand drawn with fine liner.......yes I even practiced that!
So a one layer card.......probably a first for me..........nice and quick..hmm ... and easy to post!
Last week I went to Knutsford and met with the lovely Darnell from America and several other very talented bloggers from varying parts. We had a lovely time and I met some lovely people.....bloggers/crafters are so lovely and friendly. Thank you Darnell ...without your organisation we would never have been able to meet you or each other. Safe journey home to America...with wonderful memories of your trip I hope.
OK that's enough of my rambling so I will head off. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my blurb, and if you leave me a comment (I so love to read them)..thank you...I will pop over and return the compliment.
Welcome to my new followers...Sammy, Ros and Lia. I hope you will continue to like what you see.
Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your week.
We are off to London this weekend to see Thomas who is almost 6 months old now......it's that whizzy time thing again!! ...oh and his mum and dad too of course!...mustn't leave them out...lol
See you again soon
Hugs
Carole xx
You lucky thing, so jealous but I am on countdown now.... 5 weeks today and I'll get my first cuddle - I'm so excited. Bet you had loads of fun with Darnell and the others, unfortunately I missed out but it sounds like she is having a very busy holiday meeting everyone.

I love your card Carole. It would also make a fun new home card. I'm glad you all had a good time together with Darnell. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteOh this is gorgeous! LOVE the idea and the colours, and must get my hands on that roller stamp (if it's still around!) do you know what brand it is?
ReplyDeleteAnd the lunch with Darnell was so lovely! She really is something special, isn't she? :) x
Fab card Carole and a great CAS design. Love it! Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteSuper card Carole and as you say makes a fantastic male card also. Love this.
ReplyDeleteClever idea and very brave to go freehand with the lines, it worked though and looks great.
ReplyDeleteOne layer cards scare me silly..don't think I've ever tried one! This is such a brilliant design with the coloured paint rollers and fab doodled detail around the edge :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to hear you had such a good time with some fellow crafters recently; the community is the best thing about crafting I think.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Big hugs, Kat xx

ReplyDeleteLove this, what a great idea!

Awesome roller-and-paint card, my friend! I can just imagine the mess I'd create with trying to get the paint 'just so' (which explains why I do not dabble with painting walls, etc. in any fashion! Disaster guaranteed). I'm sooooo stoked that you and Darnell had opportunity to meet (and a tad envious, as well). She and I had a good long phone call upon her return (she's a gem and I'm thrilled she has free long-distance calling to Canada...yayyy!) and she spoke ever so highly of you. One of these days...*grin*
