"Chin up"

Well hello everyone.
I can't believe where the past two weeks have gone.....I have been busy with various things...mainly appointments...some not so nice...others OK ....and of course a couple of days with Iain,Nicole and Thomas! (Managed to get rid of the cold before then...Thank you for all your Get Well wishes)

After all that I have only a very simple quick card to share ...I was in two minds whether to show you....but as I have nothing else here it is.
A couple of weeks ago I received a parcel in the post...I was a winner in a magazine draw for some Hunkydory products......very pretty, and as you know I really like their adorable scorable card, so as the mojo had gone.(probably still with Thomas) I cribbed from the ideas sheet that came with the goodies, and basically copied this....no brownie points I know, but quite suitable for my mum and step-dads Wedding Anniversary this week.....I did add the obligatory glamour dust in places!

The hardest part to this was cutting round the flowers with the craft knife to insert the topper. It has a lovely sheen and foiling in real life...not so apparent on my photo.

You may wonder about my post title.....well this is why.....note the caption underneath....

'Chin up Grandma'!......don't let them see the extra one!

This makes me smile every time I look at it...hope it does you too. He is 3 months old now...a real cutie (biased of course)...wonder when I shall get to see him again?

Thank you for stopping by, I will try not to be as long posting next time. Take care everyone...keep well......oh and chin up!
Hugs
Carole xx

  1. Hi Carole, glad you managed to shake off your cold - sometimes they can linger a bit. The card is gorgeous. I rarely use a craft knife, I'm a bit terrified of them! But you did a superb job - I don't see any blood!!
Your picture of you and the little one is lovely - one for a frame I think.

Everything is OK here, I have a week off work so managing to grab some me time and huuby and I have a wee overnight booked later in the week.

    Take care, Liz xx

Hope you have had a lovely Bank Holiday and thank you so much for sharing your special memory. I really enjoyed reading it. We had some lovely holidays at Scarborough when the boys were younger .. .. they particularly loved crab fishing!!

  14. First, a zillion apologies for the time lapse in commenting! Wearing my Crown of Disorganized once again! Okay, that done: eeeeeeeeeee! Your Thomas is a handsome little man, and oh, how he resembles you! A fabulous photo that has me beaming alllllll over my face! What a lucky boy he is to have you as his Grandma, and you to have him as your grandson. Makes my heart smile! Your card: pretty, pretty pretty! Your mom and step-dad will adore it, as do I! A glass of wine (or five), in a garden setting, is precisely what I need right now *grin*
