'Love'

Hi everyone......I'm back from cloud nine......been to London for a cuddle of my new Grandson (big smile)....(picture at end of post)....now its back to all those things you forget about when you are away....yes washing etc!!
We shall not dwell on that, nor the fact that we are rapidly approaching the end of February!!

So how are all of you? I hope you are all well and I welcome my new followers to my blog...thank you for joining me, I hope you like what you see and please let me know when you have popped by.

A Big THANK YOU to all of you who left such kind comments about Thomas and shared in my delight. it is so very much appreciated and I am sure you will forgive me for being a bit behind with my visits to you.

Ok...a card....Valentine...I know its late but it was for hubby so I couldn't post before the day now could I?

A simple design using a new embossing folder from Sara Davies Signature range , and also the heart die and the Love die form the same collection.
I embossed some linen card and then die cut the heart......mistake!! I should have die cut the heart first as the embossing was flattened a little....I did manage however to run it through again with the folder re-aligned...... then I thought about inking the hearts.....then I thought again.....bound to mess it up!
The red paper is some I have in my stash that already has tiny hearts embossed on it but sadly not visible with my wonderful photography! the 'love' was cut several times and layered for a bit of depth.

There we have it!!

I was lucky enough to have a win in the playground the other week and win some more 'love' so just need the time to play with it all.....till then I will send love to you all, thank you for stopping by. Fortune has smiled on me in more ways than one this last fortnight......I am one lucky lady!

Take care everyone and have a good week..........and one last picture.... of baby Thomas.....

I think he may be saying .."Who are you?"     :)

Hugs

  14. Your Valentine's Day card is marvelous, Carole, but I must be honest: the photo of you and your precious little grandson steals the show and captures my heart! That face...precious! One of my favourite photos sees me in nearly the identical pose as you, cuddling my niece - and gazing at her in wonder and awe (although my face isn't seen, since the focus is on her) - at what a marvel she was...and still is! The second I saw her, my heart expanded 2 million times over, so infused with love. I know you're experiencing the same! Hope you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy Thomas cuddles. They grown up too quickly; my niece will be 6 (SIX...gahhhhh!) next week, and my nephew will be 4 the week after. I've explained clearly to them that this behaviour of growning up must. slow. down! Awesome photo, Grandma C...

  18. Aww so cute, congratulations. Adding texture to a CAS card really does give interest. I've learnt the hard way about flattening embossing too. I'm impressed you managed to run it through again, it's a really lovely card.
