Good evening friends.
Well I blinked and another week passed.....did it do the same for you? The weather her in West Yorkshire is wet, then sunny, extremely windy and very cold...8.5 degrees today...brrrr....back in the winter woollies!
The other weekend I went to Samuel Taylor's to see Julia Watts demoing Sue Wilson dies...boy did she work hard, never stopped...not even for a bite of lunch. She was brilliant. Needless to say I had to buy a few dies (it would have been rude not to)and this one was among those that fell into my basket.
Just a Note......I cut this 3 times...twice in white and once in black and layered it up. The music notes were part of a stencil... a freebie in a recent magazine and I knew as soon as I saw it this was what I wanted to do (not very often that happens for me).I used a black Adirondack ink through the stencil. There is actually an embossed line above the notes, created on my score board but it does not show on the picture...sorry...bad light today.
That's it!.........CAS...........not much else to say!..........certainly not as fabulous as all your creations.
So how are we all? Well... I hope and probably if you are in England wishing for warmer weather like me.Looking round blog land there is some very beautiful work created by yourselves. I don't seem to have got quite back into the swing of things since our computer dramas.
Yesterday to add to the mix I discovered that I had lost a diamond out of my engagement ring :(
I hate losing things, and as it is a cluster it is only a small diamond and like looking for a needle in a haystack....no chance, but quite upsetting all the same. You know that moment I am sure when you look at something and its not there...ear-ring.....watch ...credit card...purse etc. and your heart skips a beat.
OK I have waffled enough..............enjoy the rest of your week my friends, blink and it will be gone and enjoy the Bank Holiday (England)......lets hope it gets warmer. See you next week hopefully!
Take care
Love Carole xx
Fabulous CAS card the die is fabulous I've got that stencil and you have made it look great so I might just use it now. Hate this cold weather and like you hate loosing things I hope you can get your ring repaired very soon Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteBrilliant CAS card. Love the die and I nearly bought the magazine today but bought a different one instead! You had better check your cards and make sure you haven't stuck your diamond on one!! I have still got the heating on in the morning and evening. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteCarole, your "just a note" makes me smile, as it's one of my favourite card phrases. Everyone loves 'just a note' cards...let's folks know we're thinking of them. Your die, layered up, is wonderful - applauding the purchasing decision! Your musical note stencil: how cool is that! Net result: a CAS-ilicous, day-brightening card in every way! Your missing diamond...oh my! I'll send a prayer to St. Anthony, in hopes he can held you find it. As for the weather, we're in for a few days of 'warm' - as in 'warm enough for me' warm...23-26C. Anything beyond that sends me into 'grumpy' mode, as I don't tolerate heat well. Given that we're traveling to see my mom and family (niece-and-nephew time!!), I don't mind the extra sunshine...a chance to play outdoors (although I need to buy a pair of sunglasses!). Wishing you a wonderful Thursday, my dear friend!

This is an excellent CAS card! I love your new die and the stencil sure goes well with it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you lost a diamond, but don't give up! I lost mine once, thought I would never find it...and there it was one morning.... in the car on the seat! Quite tiny, but somehow I noticed it. So you never know, when you least expect it, it may just show up!
This is great CAS Carole, looks fab!
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds about as good as ours, can hardly believe we are nearly in June!

After the madness of this week I abadoned the ironing and yesterday went for a chill out day - sat with my jumper on in a very windy part of the North East whilst dear husband played bowls. I arrived home with a very very sunburnt face - and today it's grey wet and miserable which makes my red face look even worse!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame about your ring tho Carole.. hope that you manage to find the stone in the house somewhere.
Fab CAS card too.. have a great week. x
Brilliant layering-up and FAB musical card . . . very CAS.
ReplyDeletePS: Hope you can get your ring fixed . . .
