70 plus 70!

 Hi Friends

First I must Thank you ALL so very much for the kind comments and encouraging words that you left me on my last post. each and everyone is appreciated more than you will ever know. June has once again turned into a difficult month for me so I know I will be sporadic in my blogging, but I know you will all understand and hopefully still be around when I surface to surprise you.

In the meantime......At the beginning of June one of my friends celebrated a 70th birthday...and another friend will be celebrating hers at the beginning of July...that's two of my three! Glad to say I am not quite as old as them! I know for definate that the second one at least will not be peeking at this, so I can share with you...both cards , on a similar vein.

First the June one...friend aptly named after her birth month......

This is the front of the card

and the inside......

The papers are some old Craftwork Cards (I think) and the 70 die is of course Crafters Companion.

It took some getting my head around did making this and the first one ended up in the bin...but I got there in the end and was quite pleased with the end result.

Here is my Twofer as they say......the front

and the inside...

This time the papers are from a LOTV pad called promises. I love this pad but sadly it is not available anymore.

The dies are once again Crafters Companion including the banner and balloons with coordinating stamps The Happy Birthday I am not sure of the make as I have had it in my stash for a good while (like everything else I have in the craft

Once again the first of this one went in the bin too, I seemed to have forgotten what to do from making the first one...and of course how many of us write instructions for ourselves for next time? do?...ah well lesson learnt there I guess.

I hope you are all keeping well and have been enjoying the sunshine here in the UK. Thank you for stopping by.

Till next time...take good care of yourselves and keep the inspiration coming...I keep peeking at all your wonderful creativity in the hopes that Mr Mojo will return...perhaps he has emigrated?

Love and crafty hugs to each one of you.

Carole xx

  1. Gorgeous cards Carole and how effective is that pop up, never fails to amaze me the wonderful products available to us compared with back in the days when we all started crafting.

Smiled when I read your friends is named after her birth month, my paternal Grandmother had ten children, some of who were April, May and June, only pleased the one born in December was a boy!

  2. Ooh very nicely done, I love the surprise pop-up 70 and its sure to raise a big smile when the recipients open the cards. Pretty florals and beautifully feminine. Look after yourself, stay positive in these difficult times ❤ x

  3. Sorry to hear that things are difficult for you my friend... I'm hoping that soon you will be on the up.
Your cards are stunning, your friends will be delighted! I've spent the past few weeks clearing things in the garden and no crafting whatsoever, well not with paper! I'm sure I will have forgotten a lot when and if I start again! Know I am thinking of you and sending hugs

  4. Two stunning cards and love the designs. The fronts are beautiful and the pop ups are brilliant.
Sorry you are going through a sad time but understandable for the time it is Carole.
Sending you lots of love and a big hug, Carol S.xxxxx

  5. Beautiful cards Carole and the pop up 70's are fabulous. I can imagine those dies being really useful. There are exactly two weeks between my best friend and I and every year, without fail, I tell here it's age before beauty and she tells me not to cheek my elders. Our families just roll their eyes but it still doesn't stop us saying it again the year after, it's become a tradition. It's lovely to see your post and I'm sending you a crafty hug until the next one. Take care Hun and take all the time that you need x

  6. Hi Carole

Wonderful cards for your friends .. .. I love the pop-up centres and your gorgeous papers.

The "Promises" one is a Nitwits design so if you are happy to work with downloads you can still buy it to print yourself here:

Just copy and paste the two lines above into your search engine.

Hope you are looking after yourself whilst you have all this chaos going on in your life.

    Love Jules xx

  7. Two keepsake cards to be treasured here for sure Carole.
    Take care.
    Hugs, Sarn xxx

  8. These are so fun, Carole! I wish I could see their faces when they open these beautiful cards; but I can certainly imagine their smiles! Well done!

I'm sorry I've been unable to be on the computer and type up comments like I used to and so I'm very late hearing that your beloved Mum passed away just shortly before her 101 birthday. (I love your gorgeous card for her.) What a milestone to have been able to make it to 100 and have her Ruby Anniversary with your stepdad! I'm sure you miss her terribly. Sending big hugs and lots of love, Darnell

  9. Wonderful cards, Carole. Love the colors on both.

  10. Hello Carole,
I'm sorry to have been MIA for a while and whilst catching up, I've just read that your Mum passed away. I'm so sorry to hear this, especially after such a difficult year, and I hope you will be feeling a bit better soon.
The cards you made for your friends are gorgeous and I bet they loved them. Hope to see you back as soon as you are ready.
    Sending love and hugs.
    Carol xx

  11. I hope that you're keeping well Carole and just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you as I've missed seeing your posts x
