First I must say welcome to my latest follower June . I hope you will keep popping by June and like what you see.
Yesterday was Becky's birthday ( my eldest sons' partner). She is a keen horsewoman and has had a recent career change so I chose these images from Inkylicious for her card.
The background is also an Inkylicious stamp inked with distress oxides and spritzed, then stamped. I did a lot of these before I got it right!!...most saw the inside of the bin!
I didn't think there were any wrong backgrounds, Carole! (I keep them for die cut sediments.) This one is certainly beautiful and just stunning behind the silhouette prancing horse and encouraging sediment. She will will cherish this!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteA super card for your son's partner and like the design, also have that image for eldest Granddaughter who is a equine vet.

Hi Carole, beautiful card and sounds like a perfect match for Becky. Thank you so much for your continued visits to my blog, your lovely comments make my day!
ReplyDeleteI am taking a short blogging break as my Mum passed away last Tuesday, she was 86 and had dementia for a number of years. And although I lost her to the dementia it is still a heartbreaking time.
Take care, and will speak again soon, Liz x
Great colour splodge! I agree with Darnell, I keep all kinds of bits for die cutting. (Perhaps you have the best idea not to hoard everything!)x
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely card to send your son's partner and so thoughtful... she'll be so pleased. I'm a bit like you Carole, if I don't get it right I ditch it... perhaps we should challenge ourselves to use a normally thrown away piece x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Carole, I love the image and sentiment and you background stamping looks perfect to me. I agree with Darnell, any mistakes are perfect for die cuts xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific card for her... I love the stamp and it's perfect with your DI background. We have sunshine for the first time today... I hope it's shining on you too!
ReplyDeleteThat background is awesome! She will love it for sure!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Carole and I have to say that I love your background. I too have that stamps and I love that you just never know what it's going to turn out like. I've had some beauties and I've also had plenty that just turned into a muddy colour and ended up in the bin too! I do like it though :) x
