18.....I wish??

Hello everyone...thanks for stopping by..especially if your up to you ankles/knees in snow.! Yes it's back again here in West Yorkshire....kids are loving it of course but I certainly have had enough of it and parts of the country have had it a lot worse. Take care wherever you are, keep safe and warm...next week British  summer time begins and we alter the clocks....summer time!!!!!...now that's a laugh!

Onto brighter things...how about being 18 again? Yes I'd go for it if I knew what I know now, but it doesn't work like that does it...so here is my card.......

I cut a piece of white card to the size of my base card and die cut a circle from it.

Next I embossed it in the Sara Signature Happy Birthday embossing folder...yes do this after cutting the circle or you will flatten the embossing.....then I raised the panel on foam pads on my base card.

I cut the 18 from glitter card and twice from white card (snippets left over from other creations) and stuck them all together for dimension and put them in the hole...so to speak...

Then I highlighted the words in a matching gel pen, added the sequins...job done! got to make it sound quick even if it wasn't....lol

I hope you are all having a good weekend...nothing special happening her.. just as well with the weather....might get in the crafty room tomorrow!

Thanks again for popping in...see you again soon.
Take care
hugs
Carole xx

  1. Card making is your forte. This one is really going to stand out from the crowd, it's gorgeous.
We are promised snow here tomorrow. Flurries today and it's sooo cold! Staying in is the only thing to do. x

  3. Brilliant card and love how you have highlighted the words. Great design. As for snow, here in East Suffolk, all we had was sleet for a couple of hours. Got away with it this time. Hugs, Carol S.xx

  5. A beautiful CAS card Carole that has lots of detail in the embossing. I really like the way that you’ve made the number eighteen stand out by creating the circular aperture, it’s a great card x

  8. I hear you about the snow; enough already! We're supposed to have 'warmer' temperatures for the early part of the week, then 'flurries' for the latter. I'm ready to see 'green', please!
Your 18th birthday card (I agree - returning to that age, knowing what I know, would be rather cool) is marvelous! The embossed background works wonderfully for the glittery numbers and pop-of-colour Happy Birthday. The turning-18 person receiving this will be thrilled!

  10. Total perfection, great design, clean and simple but not! If you know what I mean? Has put me in the notion to get my embossing folders out!
We, unusually, more or less, missed that last lot of snow but it's not getting any warmer. Maybe moving the clocks will give Mother Nature a nudge!
Hope you are keeping well, and yes, wouldn't it be great if we were neighbours. Rooting through each others stash!!

  13. Hi Carole

A fabulous card. Love the embossed front ... ... and how you have managed to add colour to some of the words. Those steady cake decorating hands must have come in very useful there!!?

Not sure about being 18 again .. .. I might pass on that!

Hope you had a good Easter break.

    Love Jules xx
