Hi everyone.....back to normal after Christmas and New Year yet? Almost at this end, here there are just the trees to dismantle. Takes ages to pack away all those baubles doesn't it! Hubby is back at work after the break and so they will wait till Saturday and I will enjoy the telly by tree lights a bit longer on an evening.Still burning candles that will probably last till August too!
I have a couple of Christmas cards to share that never reached the blog but have reached the recipients!
First up......
A LOTV image coloured with copics.....quite a fiddly one to colour this one...but got there in the end and am pleased with the result (I know a first for me). Papers from stash and the holly is a die cut and the little tree a wooden embellishment (coloured with a copic marker)...both given the 'Glamour dust treatment' of course. perhaps I should try some on myself...Glamour dust that is!...do you think it would work?...probably not as i would like it to...lol.....oh and the sentiment is also LOTV.
and the second one......
a bit more upcycling/recycling here...just the middle panel. I scored either side of the panel mounted on the cream card base and then embossed with a long snowflake embossing folder either side. I am pleased with this one too and will look to make more of this type with a different band in the middle for 2018 ...watch this space!
It's blowing a gale here today in West Yorkshire so not venturing far today...maybe the craft room. It is my intention now to have a good sort out in there and be ruthless.......intention I said not resolution...lol. I have a box of NBUS needing a home, so again it is my intention not to buy anything new until the sorting is done and all the NBUS has a home...and been used too of course...should be a very profitable year for the bank account if I stick to that one!
Well best get on...take care wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing. Keep well and please do keep popping by my blog and saying hello...I love visitors as you know and the kettle is always on here in Yorkshire!
Crafting love and hugs

Happy New Year Carole and I love your two cards, especially the first one with it’s gorgeous scene. Your colouring is fabulous too. I spent a good four hours yesterday sorting out my craft room. It really needed it though as I didn’t have enough space left on my desk to make a card! Wishing you a very happy and creative 2018. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
ReplyDeleteBoth fabulous cards Carole, love the colouring on the first and great design of the second. It's been windy around here too and we had a loose drainpipe rattling around all night which I sent hubby out to fix first thing this morning! I took all my decorations down today and hopefully I'll find Mojo and get round to playing with my new crafty stash soon xx
ReplyDelete2 fab cards Carole. First dibs on the NBUS please.....???
ReplyDeleteI've had a sort too. Just sorted things back into the same place!!!
Not ventured anywhere today - in danger of being blown away! x
Two more fantastic Christmas cards, Carole! I think you should be well pleased with both of these! I love the idea of trying out the Glamour Dust ... haha, let me know if it works and I'll go buy a couple pounds of it! Good luck with your sort and sale and use of your NBUS!! It will feel good when that job is done! Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell
