Hi friends!....sorry I have been a bad blogger this last week but I picked up the lurgy somewhere and it really got it's teeth into me. I have some antibiotics now so hopefully when these work their magic (hmm) I will be as good as new. On the plus side for hubby I lost my voice for 3 days!!.....lol
I do hope you are all well and had a good weekend, I have popped around blogland but not commented much but ooh there is some lovely work out there...you are such a clever lot.
My card is a ...guess?.....no prizes you are all correct...a Birthday card......NO...still not a Christmas Card........might have to ask Santa if we can postpone Christmas this year...lol!.....another 52 weeks might be good?
This was one of those cards that I was actually quite pleased with. It was created for a friend who loves jigsaws and although you cannot see it well on the photo (sorry) the central panel is a nine piece jigsaw die by X-cut.
The butterfly and flowers are from a Craftwork Cards Colour Me Tag pad and then I die cut with a plain square after colouring...then I added some sparkle...again this is not easy to see. The other square layers are Sue Wilson pierced squares. The sentiment corners are a new acquisition and are Phil Martin stamps ...I love them, so useful.
I think I will be making some more in this style...with or without the jigsaw element.
Well mojo and energy have gone on holiday again. I hope they wont be away too long...I miss them!!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and leave me comments......I really do appreciate them and love to read them all. I will try to catch up with you all this next week and leave you some love too.
I am heading to the playground with this as the white card I used is all snippets. I hoping there may be something medicinal behind the bike sheds as it is a 250th post celebration for Miss Di.....so see you there?
Take care everyone and I hope you have a good week.
Hugs

I am smug cos I've made THREE Christmas cards (all the same but 3 nonetheless!!)
Hope you're feeling better soon - and your Mojo and mine are obviously holding hands on a beach somewhere! x
Love this card Carole, such a great design with the jigsaw die and sentiment (maybe see the same design in a christmas theme?) I'm all behind again this year so count me in for an extra 52 weeks.
ReplyDeleteHope you're soon rid of those nasty germs but not sure the antibiotics will work.... I was taking a course when my little miss gave me a very snotty goodbye kiss and I ended up getting the worst cold I've had in years! Take care of yourself xx
LOVE this card Carole! Isn't that jigsaw die fabulous - and of course I adore the Phill Martin corner sentiments. They do look good at opposite corners don't they.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon - Parsnip is available for some little bear cuddles, he only charges ... what, wait, the little perisher is charging money for cuddles?! I despair!
Hugs

Hi Carole
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering to postpone Christmas .. .. but I doubt that will be allowed! LOL!!
Pleased I am not the only one who is behind with Christmas makes!!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my card yesterday .. .. but sadly it was only the one. I sneaked it in quickly whilst waiting for a bride to OK some pictures I had sent her.
Loving your birthday card very much. The puzzle element and the corner sentiments are just gorgeous. Great colours too.
I hope your lurgy has gone now! My friend has taken over a week to shake hers off and she still doesn't feel like she has much energy!
Take care
Love Jules xx
It may not be a Christmas card, but it is a sensational bright and crisp birthday card, Carole!! It made my mouth drop open in a very unladylike manner!! I hope the antibiotics do the trick and you are chipper soon and playing with Mr. Mojo!! Hugs, Darnell
