'Friend'

Hello 'Friends'......hope you are all well and enjoying the summer that has arrived here at last in the North of the UK. Today is hot again but thundery showers...and true to from it had one just as I had pegged out the washing! The sun is now shining again but I prefer to chat to all of you than rush to peg it out again...........see.you are honoured....you are all more important than my washing.  lol...... and if you are not in the UK then I hope that the weather is being good to you wherever you live.

My card today is CAS and I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

The flower and sentiment stamp are both from the same Clearly Besotted set...Friends Forever.............coloured with my copics. Mounted on foam and then on a base card of Adorable Scorable. This time I got it right and picked my base colour before colouring the image.
I have seen a lot of random placing of sequins and the like out there in blogland, so I decided after great deliberation to add 3 pearls. I coloured white ones with a copic to match the peachy tones! and there we have it!.Oh nearly forgot the touch of glamour dust on the pollen stamens.

Well I can't believe we are in to July and the longest day has been and gone. In the crafting world Christmas has raised it's head with a lot of new goodies to tempt us...........have you bought any yet? I suppose I will succumb at some point...but not as yet...I swear if I lived my life over again, and some more, I need not buy any more Christmas stash...but I will be tempted by that crafting devil I am sure.

Ok that leaves me to wish you all a wonderful rest of your week and a fabulous weekend...lets hope the weather stays in the UK, we have to make the most of it!...speaking of which I had better go peg out the washing ...again!....guaranteed to rain again as soon as I do!

By the way....I have got my ring back from the jewellers all repaired and gleaming (new diamond)....so I am happy bunny again!

Take care everyone...see you again soon.
Crafty hugs
Carole xx

  3. What a super sweet and CAS card, Carole. I love the added touch of the pearls and the glamour dust. I've not purchased any new Christmas stamping stuff, but I am praying for more Christmas-like temps. It's 84.6 degrees Fahrenheit (29 C) on the north side of my house, in the shade, at 8 p.m. here in Germany. My laundry has been drying in about 15 minutes! Thanks for joining in at ATSM #151. xo Melissa

  4. It is wonderfully hot here in the NE of the UK, though I am not a sun worshipper it is nice to have a proper summer! The thunderstorm was welcomed, but it is now like it never happened! This is a beautiful CAS card and the colour you have chosen is gorgeous. Thanks so much for joining in on the Uniko Challenge. Hugs Bev x

  9. Oh My GORGEOUS, Carole...you've done Stephanie proud with this lovely rendition of those flowers! Perfect colouring and the addition of the glamour dust adds to the elegance. CAS-ilicious...and the 'special friend' on the receiving end will love this immensely, as do I! I'm excited that you've shared this in challenges...such creativity warrants as wide an audience as possible! Great to hear you're sporting a re-diamonded ring...I can only imagine how beautiful it is! And reading about you 'pegging' the clothes on the line...oh how I wish I could do the same. We're not 'allowed' to hang laundry here in our mountain town...'animal' attractions (I know...silly!), but given the hippo-sized ravens (who have face-recognition powers....scary!), keeping things inside is the route to cleanliness *grin* Thank you so much for cheering my news today...I'm nervous! Fingers crossed you'll like my debut...and I promise to do my best to improve! Hugs galore, my friend!

  17. Hi Carol! I love the coloring on your gorgeous flower..and pearls..so sweet and a fun touch!

I'm so glad you have a new diamond and are able to wear your ring once again. You know what they say..now that you have a new one, you will probably find the lost one! LOL

It has been hot and humid but today is breezy and cooler. We have been having quite hazy, smoky days here in northern MN. from the fires in Canada. Yesterday was the first time in days I saw some blue in the sky. But last night the weatherman said we will continue to have haze for awhile, and sure enough, today is hazy again.

    Have a great day!
