HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I do hope 2015 holds wonderful things for you all, and is a happy and healthy one.
Phew.....that's it...all over for a while(the festivities that is).............and how many shopping days till Christmas?.....Did you hit the sales? no I didn't either.......no money nor the stamina to go with it! If you did go and grabbed a bargain...good on you.
Resolutions?.................I think not.........well maybe sort of, but nothing very exciting ....more promises to myself. Crafting wise...it's to spend less on new and use up the old...care to join me?
I have decided to have a rest from Christmas this month and then it is my intention to make a couple of Christmas cards a month by playing with all that stash still not used.......will see how that pans out!
Also when I get back to normal ...normal? what's that?...I intend to try and get all my 2015 cards made in a month...all those birthday cards that end up at the last minute (especially family).............OK I can hear you laughing...........I know......I will be laughing if I manage it!
Want a picture? bored with reading? here goes then..........
A birthday card that I did for a horse lover. Image coloured with copics and the rosette is made from a Tim Holtz die.I think the rest is self explanatory.
Also I bought this Cath Kidston umbrella for a Christmas present and I made the box to go with it. Craftwork Cards London paper pad came in to play here with the soldiers which matched up to the brolly so well that the recipient thought I had bought the box from Cath Kidston!!
Right folks that's it till I start crafting again! I think you have seen all my creations from 2014....so I had better get cracking (crafting) next week.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing and thanks for stopping by. I really do appreciate your comments and have made lovely friends worldwide as a result. My good wishes to you all.Be safe and happy.
Till next time
Love and crafty hugs
Carole xx
Those are some great ideas. I make so many cards but why is it I never have the right one at the right time available? I would like to try to get all my Bday cards done up front too....no last minute rush that way.
ReplyDeleteLove the job you did coloring the horse image, and the charm is such a fun touch! And that umbrella is awesome...the box is a perfect match!
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Lovely card Carole, love your layout and the lovely little charm.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you too Carole. I shall continue to enjoy my visits here throughout 2015, your posts always make me smile. Your thoughts on resolutions are similar to mine, using up some older stuff is something I must join you on!
ReplyDeleteYour card is great, the rosette and little charm - perfect. And that box, see it just goes to prove we need all sorts of paper and everything cos you never know when it's going to be the spot on match.

Happy New Year Carole! I hope 2015 brings you good health and lots of happiness. Hope you had a lovely Christmas too! Gorgeous creations - the rosette on your card looks fab and the box is such a good idea and looks great! Wow, all of your cards in one month? That's an impressive resolution!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, my dear friend! Wishing you an abundance of blessings in every way, shape and form! Your 'goal' to use more of your 'old' products is one I should adopt as well. I have many stamps/dies calling for my attention; perhaps I need to hear their calls with greater diligence. Then there's those Chameleon pens I need to figure out. Knowing me though...I'll be buying sooner than you can say 'exercise restraint'! Your horse card is striking; I'm in awe over your colouring. And the brolly box truly looks 'professional'. Impressive indeed! Again, thank you for keeping us in your thoughts...means the world to me!

Happy New Year to you and all your family . The card is just amazing your colouring on that horse is fabulous . The box is a great idea should send the photo to Cath Kidston as umbrella,s are a pain to wrap. Last year I decided to use all the stamps I'd never used I lasted about 2 months then went on to the new stuff again its really hard for us crafters to resist the latest things Love and hugs Carole x
