Just arrived

Hi friends.

Another lovely Spring day today here, it sure makes you feel better a bit of sunshine doesn't it.My little daffs are blooming nicely in the garden and the days are getting longer now....so Spring is here in my book. On the negative side we have been known to get snow at Easter though!

Right.... on with my card. Life got in the way a bit lately as it does, but here we are.
I had a rummage in my stash and pulled out some papers and a Craftwork Cards shape edged card....it's in my goal this year to use some stash and ink the un-inked stamps!

I also dug out the Copics this week and really enjoyed sitting and colouring this image from LOTV. I didn't think it turned out too badly( blowing my own trumpet here) but it gives me the confidence to do some more.

And a close up of the colouring

I used spun sugar distress ink to soften the image and on the sentiment and liquid pearls on the fancy edge. On the inside of the card I added a strip of matching paper down the edge. The tiny hearts are what falls out of the banner die when you cut it.

Card Recipe:-
Image..................LOTV 'Just Arrived'
Sentiment............LOTV  Simply Sophisticated Set 26
Dies....................Spellbinders Labels 5
                           La La land Heart Banner
Paper and Card.....from my stash.

I am entering this card in the LOTV Challenge.....name that tune..'.Living in a Box' by Living in a Box or alternatively 'Little Boxes' by Pete Seegar
Also In the Pink Challenge....Pink plus One....pale creamy yellow for me.

I was hoping I may be able to use this card in a few months for my best friends (yes the one in the 'red wine tale' - still besties thank goodness) daughter who is expecting BUT since the dilemma of should I do pink or blue it has been confirmed that I have got it wrong! (I only had a 50-50 chance for goodness sake) so looks like I will have to do another in blue! Hey Ho that's the way it goes.

OK well lots of things with my name on round here, thing to do and none as nice as crafting, so best go and pay attention to them. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creation. It is as always very much appreciated and I would love to hear your comments.......I don't feel as though I am talking to myself quite so much then!

Till next time, take care everyone
Hugs xx
Carole

  4. Hiya Carole, Spring really is making itself felt isn't it? I've even seen cherry blossom today, which is my absolute favourite. It's been lovely here too, it certainly does make you feel better! I think your colouring is fabulous! You should definitely get your pens out more often. I love the way you've used the distress ink too, really lovely. Beautiful card, even if it is the wrong colour! I await a blue version!
Tell those jobs calling your name to pipe down!
    Lots of love,
