Hi friends.
Another lovely Spring day today here, it sure makes you feel better a bit of sunshine doesn't it.My little daffs are blooming nicely in the garden and the days are getting longer now....so Spring is here in my book. On the negative side we have been known to get snow at Easter though!
Right.... on with my card. Life got in the way a bit lately as it does, but here we are.
I had a rummage in my stash and pulled out some papers and a Craftwork Cards shape edged card....it's in my goal this year to use some stash and ink the un-inked stamps!
I also dug out the Copics this week and really enjoyed sitting and colouring this image from LOTV. I didn't think it turned out too badly( blowing my own trumpet here) but it gives me the confidence to do some more.
And a close up of the colouring
I used spun sugar distress ink to soften the image and on the sentiment and liquid pearls on the fancy edge. On the inside of the card I added a strip of matching paper down the edge. The tiny hearts are what falls out of the banner die when you cut it.
Card Recipe:-
Image..................LOTV 'Just Arrived'
Sentiment............LOTV Simply Sophisticated Set 26
Dies....................Spellbinders Labels 5
La La land Heart Banner
Paper and Card.....from my stash.
I am entering this card in the LOTV Challenge.....name that tune..'.Living in a Box' by Living in a Box or alternatively 'Little Boxes' by Pete Seegar
Also In the Pink Challenge....Pink plus One....pale creamy yellow for me.
I was hoping I may be able to use this card in a few months for my best friends (yes the one in the 'red wine tale' - still besties thank goodness) daughter who is expecting BUT since the dilemma of should I do pink or blue it has been confirmed that I have got it wrong! (I only had a 50-50 chance for goodness sake) so looks like I will have to do another in blue! Hey Ho that's the way it goes.
OK well lots of things with my name on round here, thing to do and none as nice as crafting, so best go and pay attention to them. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to look at my creation. It is as always very much appreciated and I would love to hear your comments.......I don't feel as though I am talking to myself quite so much then!
Till next time, take care everyone
Hugs xx

'LOVE'.........Happy Valentines Day
Hi Friends.
A fairly quick post today as I have a romantic meal to cook!
Here is the card for hubby.
I took an old dictionary and tore out the page with LOVE on it, cut it down a bit and attached to a piece of white card with glue and seal and then inked round the edges. The love definition was stamped and embossed (can't remember whose stamps they are as I have had them years!) and matted and mounted on foam pads. The heart is a Stampendous stamp embossed with a red moonglow powder. I pricked round the edges of the card, added the rub on sentiment and mounted on 3D foam for a bit of depth.
Sounds really quick but it seemed to take me ages, but then these minimalistic cards seem to!
Well I do hope that you are all surviving this terrible weather, I think we have been very lucky up here in the north so far.
Have a wonderful evening and weekend whatever you are doing. I must away and cook.....actually glad we are not turning out in this rain and gales! (must be getting old).
Take care and Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look.
Hugs

Vogue
Hi friends.
I hope you are all well and managing to stay dry and warm.
My card this time is using the Vogue collection from Craftwork Cards. They have some wonderful papers and products. The card speaks for itself really because the papers say it all....I love these papers.
This is an 8" x 8" card and I added a bit of stickles glue to the peacock........and here is the inside
I made this for my Daughter -in -Law who likes bird cages and art deco - I think it fits the bill!
Short and sweet this time folks - no tales to tell!
I do however want to thank everyone who stops by to view my little works of art, and hello and welcome to my new followers. I appreciate all your comments and time so much.
Blogger will not let me follow anyone at present, I don't know if my settings have got changed but I can't click on your blogs on the follow label......very irritating. If anyone can put me straight I would be very grateful! I don't see the little thumb nails anymore either on yours or my blog!
Take care friends till next time
