Wine

Hello friends.
Well that is another week gone ....and January too! It's cold and wet again here today and I fear that the white fluffy soft stuff may not be too far away.

Here's my card, straightforward and for my friends hubbies birthday this coming week, hope they are not sneaky peeking!

It's an indigo blu stamp which I embossed with clear powder and the celebration was cut from a sheet of paper with all different words on it.

Now there is a tale to tell. If you remember last weekend we were visiting my best friend, a nice weekend apart the weather.....and what I am about to tell you - (this card is for her hubby) - ok
the sentiment on this card relates to what I am about to tell you

A few good friends ....YES speaks for itself
the best bottle of wine..........this is where it all went horrible......... Red wine, Sunday dinner... I guess you are ahead of me here. Yes my hubby sadly knocked over his glass of red wine...all over the table...and the cream carpet...(which was new of course)...and down the wall! ...(yes newly decorated)! Get the picture?.... Shock....horror. You can imagine how we felt and my poor friend must feel about her carpet.
Memories forever........unfortunately not as the sentiment intended in this case, but I guess we won't forget it in a hurry. How can one small glass of wine go so far!!

The carpet is back to almost normal (or so she says) and the wall has been painted!
I wonder if I am still her best friend?.............and we still feel so dreadful about it all.
I wonder when the card is opened next week if they will laugh ..or cry! the card was made BEFORE all this happened though.

Right I shall enter this in Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 108 -  Black and White

Well I will if linky and the blog will let me!
Have a good weekend friends whatever you do!...but don't spill the wine!!

Rocking Horse

Hi Friends!
I do hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. Do you have anything nice planned?
Maybe it is a day of crafting, or a weekend even? I am visiting my best friend on the west coast, so looking forward to a good catch up as we don't get to spend enough time with each other.

On to my card - a new baby card - using that lovely image (Rocking Horse) and sentiment from LOTV and a NEW memory box die that it simply adorable.

Out came the Copics which haven't had an airing in far too long and I spent a good couple of hours colouring the image. I really enjoyed doing it and I am pleased with the outcome as I am by no means an expert in the Copic world. I wanted a card suitable for either a boy or a girl so stuck to lemon and beige.
Here is a bit closer view of the image - its oh so cute!

The sentiment is from an LOTV set (simply sophisticated) and I stamped that in memento Rich Cocoa and the beautiful die I inked with Distress lemonade ink to change it from white and then added glamour dust wit a quickie glue pen and some platinum stickles to link the brown tones. I am not sure whether that spoiled it or not really. Papers were from my stash an the diamante hearts.

Papertake Weekly - Bow and Die ..........mobile die and bow at the top(think that counts)

Have a wonderful weekend friends and Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and view my creations.

Does the camera lie?

Hi blogging friends.
Welcome to my new follower - you have made my week! - and thanks for all the lovely comments people have left me - it sure has the feel good factor.

Gone are the days I think when the cameras did not lie - what with Photoshop and all these editing programs available I think that photos can be altered to suit these days. Providing one knows what one is doing of course!

On to the card - for hubbys birthday. I bought the stamp for this from Dreamees, it was very apt as he got a camera for his birthday.

The lens on the camera was coated with Diamond Glaze so that it shone, but it doesn't show up well in the photo.
The sentiment stamp is from Woodware.

Well it's short and sweet from me today, always far too much on the to do list! I cross out one thing and add two more ....sound familiar?

Take care and enjoy the weekend.

Hugs

'With Love'

Hi Friends

How is it going? - 2014 I mean - is it panning out as you would wish? or is it going all too quickly again and not enough hours in a day? having said that I have managed to do a bit of crafting and a bit of sorting in the Craft Room! - I think that will be an on going task that will probably take all year - I seem to move stuff from A to B to C and back to A again - lol - too much stuff - but then it may be useful! Do you identify with that?
Anyway on to my creation - a birthday card using a pre-printed LOTV image - Teddy Bouquet that I have had for a while - I am on a mission to use up stash.
The papers are from the LOTV pad - Always and Forever, and the sentiment is also from LOTV.

I added some die cuts, (loving my new banner die!) and some candy and of course some glamour dust on the flowers but it does not show on the photo - sorry! I seem to be having a phase where I offset my image - I inked the edges with Bundled Sage to soften it.

I am entering this in the following challenges:-

LOTV - Anything goes
Papertake weekly - Anything goes
Simple creations - Anything goes
Creative craft Challenge2 -#26 - Anything goes
Lisa B designs January challenge - Anything goes

Take care my friends and thank you for stopping by.

It' a Shoe thing!

Happy New Year everyone! May it bring you Good Health, Happiness and every opportunity you wish it to.

Now for a card, a card bearing a shoe! I don't have a shoe fetish myself - something to do with getting older and wanting comfort I think, BUT I do know a young lady with a large collection, all killer heels and with quite the WOW factor and this card was made for her birthday.

The stamp set is from Anna Marie designs - Blooming Shoe - with the lovely shoe, flowers and sentiments all included. All coloured with Copics and a bit of sparkle and bling added of course. The backing paper is from an LOTV pad - Promises. The trellis is Fancy lattice - Spellbinders and the leafy swirl I think is a Marianne Die..

Well that's the first of 2014, I sure hope this year will not slip by as fast as 2013 did.
Take care and have a good weekend.
Hugs
